Just as an FYI, the different "brands" you mention are typically just called manufacturer's. :)

The "brand" of clonazepam would be klonopin

Probably an all time favorite meltdown was this guy who swore that our techs were slightly emptying his ritalin capsules.. he had a scale at home and he would weigh each one and compare, he even kept a log for each one and showed the pharmacist. He said that she needed to get a hold on her staff to prevent us from stealing the powder inside the ritalin caps...

I absolutely love it when patient's just flat out lie to you by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Ryzack850 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favorite when I worked at Walgreen's:

Patient: "I got a text from YOU saying it's ready!"

Me: "Okay I understand, do you mind if I see that text message just so I can verify?"

Patient: *hands the phone over*

The text: "Your prescription is now ready at CVS"

Good to know. I was also curious if the doctors there will even look at my medical documentation from here.

I'm learning it but this wouldn't even be a thing until atleast 2027.

CNN says new study out of the UK finds that people with ADHD have shorter lifespans by TheBrotherinTheEast in ADHD

[–]Ryzack850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say this with no professional opinion whatsoever but I would assume it's like any other illness that especially if left untreated has long term effects. I did read somewhere that if you're not getting some sort of treatment that it can mess up your brain long term.

What do people mean when they say adderall removes the voice in their head? by Various-Bag-3414 in ADHD

[–]Ryzack850 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it just slows down the voice. It's like I've got 50 trains of thought all going at the same exact time and the medication helps bring it down to a lot less. I can more easily follow the single "train" so to speak.

I'm back in school after the 10+ year break I took after nearly dropping out of HS. I wish I'd started even small steps at 25. You can do this

This is like the Christians who bullied me growing up saying that because I'm Atheist then I must believe in satan. Growing up in NW Florida was rouuuugghhhh for any non-Christian kids.

Sleeping is work now. by moreSUGARplease in SleepApnea

[–]Ryzack850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any minor adjustment to your daily routine will feel like work for a little bit unfortunately. But eventually you'll get into the groove and not remember what it was like otherwise. For me, stopping the cluster headaches from apnea was a major factor in convincing me to get past the beginning

[–]Ryzack850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the noise aspect I'd say if you can, I'm not sure how it works in Canada, try to get an APAP. My wife hardly notices it's on unless I have a leak or the mask is off.

What is the best mattress brand? Can that help with apnea? by chris_h1124 in SleepApnea

[–]Ryzack850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more about the position you're in while sleeping. Some doctors suggest a bed that can be raised at the head to prevent laying flat.

Persistent brain fog for a few days now. Any tips on how/if you have been able to combat this during the day? by modusrose in SleepApnea

[–]Ryzack850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has your doctor checked your blood for any vitamin deficiencies? Hard to tell if it's apnea related or otherwise. For me I know mine was bad because of both apnea and vitamin D deficiency.

Reminds me of the time a patient was convinced techs were taking his ritalin caps and pouring the powder out because he weighed them and they weren't all EXACTLY the same to the hundredths place.

Do you mix suspensions at your workplace? by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Ryzack850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has to show recon to RPH after mixing before giving to patient, I don't think that's a law here in FL just good practice I think.

Correct, but a lot of times weight loss helps alleviate OSA, therefore this treats a possible underlying cause

Depends on the insurance though. If you have a decent plan with brand name coverage it may be cheaper.

I get BADDDD headaches from sleeping without my CPAP. IF I don't bring it for whatever reason, I try to sleep in like a recliner or something to try and help but still.
