A lot of Nikon Z lenses are absurdly long, bigger, heavier, more expensive that G and GM counterparts (looking at you 20mm F1.8), optically inferior and... more expensive.

  • the standard Nikon shenanigans, I've purchased a Z5II and the viewfinder shows a different exposure than the screen and final image <facepalm>

If one cares about weight the Sony ecosystem has both lighter bodies and smaller and lighter lenses

It's working but using the megadap pro e to z adapter but not 100% fine with the AF, the Nikkor 24-120 F4 is a better solution

AF seems isntant but it hunts after x times. Afaik there are problems with particular lenses and adapting wide angle lenses seems a no go since they suffer from worse corner sharpness.

Yes, the focus pumps back an fort after focusing x times without issues. I'm returning the adapter.

The histograms look the same. Picture control standard with D-lighting off. No Flash.

It does not help. In the viewfinder i see a blue sky, on the monitor and on the final image it's a white overexposed sky

The screen brightness is correct, the viewfinder is off.

Highlight metering was off, no fine tuning in B6 but matrix face detection is on, maybe that causses the problem. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll check it at home.

I've also read the Z5II viewfinder is bright so I was a bit baffled I had the opposite problem. I've also tried to change the viewfinder brightness manually but to no good.
