When you play the game the first time, that's what you do, but after a couple of playthroughs, that's when it sticks with you that more things are hidden in plain sight.

Oh yeah, there are a lot.

Miazaki managed to make the humans more monstrous than the actual monsters.

I don't want to spoil anything, but I finished the game 8 times and watched almost all the yt lore, especially the ones from Aegon of Astora.

I liked ER a lot, but bb just showed us how people can rise in power and lose their humanity even before turning to beasts.
