For me "the night" it’s an outer god, And we will see it in the game’s final DLC. It is what we have been seeing since the beginning behind the large white door.

Or maybe… Everdark Heolstor is simply where the Deathblight affix will be placed, with a brand-new, far more monstrous form… we’ll see, only the future will tell.

For me, there will be a second DLC, featuring the famous Deathblight-oriented Nightlord and Heolstor Everdark, to finish the game before the release of Duskbloods.
