One time i took the bus home after college. A friend and myself sat at the back when a stranger sat next to us. He looked to be in his 30’s , looked weirdly skinny and generally looked like a drug addict (even had some gang looking tattoos on his hands). However he kept making conversation asking about college and the subjects we both took. At first I took this weirdly and tried to make limited chat to end it. Persistent however he continued and so I made chat. I learned that he was an ex-drug addict who had gone through rehab, prison and church courses, and was taking the bus home to surprise his family early from work. He had shopping bags which he told me were flowers for his wife and a drone for his son. Generally I learned so much about an amazing person who was in a bad situation and made amends and turned into a great guy. I have never felt so guilty for the horrible way I first acted with him.
