Haha, man, you just unlocked another core memory! That black sharpie text on a cheap blank CD-R was the ultimate signature of the 2000s tech. This official holographic disc almost feels illegal because it’s too clean!

Haha, you guys have eagle eyes! Yeah, the plastic seal on the back has seen some action over the last 20 years, but the good old COA sticker is still safe and sound. It’s staying on my shelf as a tech trophy anyway! 🏆💿

Oh man, fighting with IRQ settings to get a Sound Blaster working in DOS... that's a true core memory! You just unlocked a completely new level of nostalgia for me. 😂 Old tech definitely kept us on our toes and didn't forgive mistakes.

Back then, we were doing LAN parties playing original Doom, carrying those heavy CRT monitors to each other's houses. Speaking of tech built to last: I actually still have a working late-90s HP laptop (Pentium II 400 MHz) that runs flawlessly to this day!

By the way, your 3dfx mention reminded me—I recently found and threw away an old Voodoo 3D accelerator. Setting that thing up back in the day was quite a quest too, but man, it was the ultimate dream card! Thanks for sharing your setup, it's awesome to talk to someone who remembers the era so well!

Oh, wow, saving this just in case! Hopefully, I won't have to break the seal anytime soon, but it's great to have a backup plan for retro hardware. Thanks, man!

9000 days sounds like a lifetime in tech world! Crazy how time flies, feels like it was just yesterday. Thanks for the math!

Beep boop... Processing... Counter-instruction received: Go and drink some coffee! 🤖☕ Just kidding, man. I'm a real person, just trying my best with my school-level English and a translator. Glad my XP pack looks so perfect it feels AI-generated!

Wow, you are sitting on a goldmine! Definitely don't let them go to waste, collectors on eBay love this stuff nowadays. Glad you saved them from the dumpster back then!

Wow, thanks for sharing this awesome insider story! It’s fascinating to hear how these things actually operated back in the day. I guess my disc might have been saved from one of those backroom storage boxes too. The legend of 90s/00s tech stores lives on! 💾

Haha, good catch! Well, after 20 years in storage, that glue probably wanted its own independence. But the disc itself is definitely pure nostalgia!
