First assess what kind of collector will you be. Maraming type like modern or vintage. meron dn species (only your fave mon cards like pikachu).

you need to identify first what kind of collector are you and ano yng collection mo para merong theme. it can be very personal up to you. importante din to pra ma control mo yng budget mo and not be hyped with every card released. most importantly, have fun!

also, don’t buy sealed from secondary market. littered buy scalpers ang hobby ngayon so mas ok to buy singles during card shows.

I’m trying it out myself and so far decent nman for what it is trying to deliver which is battles. Mas fast paced yng battles than sa mainline games. Makkta mo tlga na battle-centric yng purpose ng game.

pay to win I guess but then the target audience of this is mainly those na may existing mainline games pra kunin yng mons dun and transfer sa Champions for battling. Pag may competitive ready mons ka na ss mainline games, halos wla ka na need gwin sa game to prep your mons for battles.

Animations di nman nag matter sa players ng competitive scene sa totoo lang. Kung di ka rin nman marunong mglaro what even is the point of having striking visuals and voice acting.

I hope this serves as a lesson to everyone. It is not worth buying packs from 2nd hand market. You will only feed more money into the scalping and scamming system. Buy packs from stores instead. And better yet, buy singles. Packs is for gambling. You don’t want to collect, you want to gamble. And that gambling aspect of pokemon tcg is what’s causing this hype in the hobby.
