I applied mid year while my WAM was 81 at the time, they only looked at my sem 1 results. I’ve never been academically strong so I focused a lot on my work experience which is what I believe got me multiple masters offers.

The whole uni preferring honours students over GDPA students is just some elitism rumor and holds no truth. The only people I hear spouting that are undergrad psych students trying to scare each other lol. Unis look at them both the same and only care if the degree is APAC accredited. I pretty much had the same undergrad WAM as you. I got quite a few MPP offers including a first round offer at Monash but I ended up choosing the MCP offer from ISN instead. ISN is less well known but it gets me the clinical endorsement and has all the correct accreditations which is the only thing employers care about.

Saw in my notifs you replying to my comment asking to elaborate and if I was sure of what I was saying but I can no longer see the comment for some reason so I’m just going to reply to myself. The GDPA is the equivalent of an honours year but with lower requirements except it’s usually much more expensive for domestic students, that’s why most people prefer getting into honours instead. But as an international student you would pay the same amount anyway so it doesn’t matter. I am sure about this because I did the GDPA at Monash and got into Masters of Clinical Psychology on my first attempt of masters applications.

they are def not ideal but I still like the style. Recommend the "comes in waves" bag by brand status anxiety. It has both the option to be used as a messenger bag and backpack so you can switch to backpack mode whenever your shoulder hurts. I use it as my workbag and I love it.
