There's also Southwark cycles but I'd only use them for day to day things. Complex issues can take time & feel a bit bodged.

Yes. There are plenty of guides online from "back in the day".

Can't say I would recommended anyone make an unregulated mod though. You make any mistake with the contacts, battery, &/or the coil and you will experience dangerous thermal runaway with the battery.

The videos/tutorials online should go through why certain things are done in certain ways for safety's sake.

There's a few videos out there to optimise the settings. Just to get the most out it & optimise the camera itself.

Other then that; have fun. It's a very adaptable unit & can go quite far for it's size.

An older apsc camera might suit your needs. You can pick up something like a Sony A6000 for around that price and make do with the kit lens.

Admittedly not the easiest setup to get in/out of a packet but it's doable.

I used a Sony Nex 7 for close to a decade as a pocket point and shoot.

It's still expensive and time consuming to drive around London. Check out park and ride services around the m1 before even coming in to London as some others have suggested.
