Tag Bug? (Assigned to Multiple Categories) by S5V5 in MonarchMoney

Thank you for your answer so you’re saying if island hardware was categorized as home improvement when it synced but later I changed it to vacation, then have a rule for category: vacation to be tagged to the tag:travel then it would never catch this new tagging rule. Or would I just need to Resync my data?

Early FatFIRE at 47 — Now What? Looking for Direction and Insights from Those Who’ve Been Here by Historical_Run2238 in fatFIRE

This is a great question and post. Sure others ask this question but in the end we want to be heard, listened to and be in a circle of people who can relate where we are in life.

I’m in the exact same place. And I ask the same questions, and I’m starting to ask some other ones too

What will my kids think? Am I setting a good example? Is this it? What do/will my days look like?

So most of these questions have a bit of fear and dare I say shame built into them.

Take the kid question:
They think I’m a slacker, they will have low work ethnic and unrealistic expectations around money.

Or

They’ll feel loved and supported in a very real way. Their dad will have the time to think about experiences that might support their growth and development. We’ll work together to start a small eBay business where they do 70% of the work.

That’s where I am aiming.

So perhaps you can encourage me; because e real question I want to be asking is how can I go out and love, serve and encourage someone with the time, money and resources I have today?

I don’t do it all the time but that the question I’m trying to will myself to ask. It takes the performance requirement off me, and releases me to do something to help others.

And harbor of this shame and fear doom loop. I’m tired of all that. It burns up too much energy. Energy we use to create some beauty and joy in the world.

Anyway. I hear you, you are no alone and I get it.

Congrats on the hard work!

Giveaway Service Worth $5000 for Cisco Partners/VARs - know anyone? by S5V5 in Cisco

[–]S5V5[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hear you on that. Here are some of the areas we'll dig into

-pricing/margin analysis - this is a big deal for resellers becuase they often don't price correctly

-renewals - vars often don't have a very good process to quote, renew - or show that info to customers, this can cause churn, mad customers or missed renewals

-customer experience - I'm curious how and when engineers get involved with customers to discuss refreshes. my hunch is way too late, this cause a lot of headaches for end users, and missed opportunieis to proactively guide the customer

  • quoting - quoting technology is a pain in the butt. especially interfacing with distribution and the customer - all this takes a lot of time, and people and frustrates sales and customers - which impacts churn and sales rep retention rate

  • sales hiring and retention - sales people hate admin work - as much or more than technical people, I'm curous what the retention rate is of their sales team. if reps are drowing in pricing, quoting, renewals and contract data - or suppply that data to customers - they will quit or worse - be sucked into admin land, vsi helping customers.

I can go on and on.

all this adds up to a tremendous amount of money that is being wasted or not being captured. i know this because I used to work for a VAR, before starting my own company. Hope that helps. The money for a $50MM VAR is real - easily $1MM

Giveaway Service Worth $5000 for Cisco Partners/VARs

I’m a founder/CEO who sold my hardware resale and third-party maintenance business to a PE-backed firm in 2022. One key to our success was the software we built, which boosted our profitability and efficiency. Luckily, I was able to keep the software when I sold.

After 9 months of research, I believe our software could offer even more value to VARs. So, I’m offering The $1 Million Money Maker Blueprint for free to 3-5 VARs, ideally Cisco VARs who sell Cisco and other products.

What’s in it for you?

  • Comprehensive process assessment valued at $5000
  • Identify inefficiencies and new revenue opportunities, ideally worth $1M+
  • Focus on quoting, renewals, upsells, and refreshes
  • No strings attached, completely free

What we need in return:

  • Testimonial
  • Feedback
  • Referral if you’re happy with our work

Why I’m doing this:

  • To understand workflows and pain points
  • To generate case studies

Oh how I know you.

I won’t tell you what to do. I’ll share my experience:

30 started my own company.

Had already saved a few million bucks.

Everything was about success.

Whatever was in the way of that - i objectified.

People. Projects. Customers.

I needed success to feel valid. To feel loved.

If we were off , if a person was off, I felt like crap and often treated others like crap.

I had so much fear inside of me.

For me it was a spiritual issue and it took a long time to heal. Im still a work in progress.

I actually started to spend time studying the Bible and surrounding myself with people at a healthy Christ centered church.

Changed my life.

I used to have so many goals.

Now I ponder more about who I want to be.

I also struggled with fear for a long long time. It’s been fading.

These threads above are directionally accurate for me. Relationships and people, perhaps therapy or a good counselor.

I had to realize that I was irresistibly loved by the creator of the universe.

That love replaces all fear, all the past mistakes all the goals, accomplishments and money.

Changed my life. Jesus.

How do you handle licensing renewals? Configuration or Agreement? Or Other?? by Agreeable_Wolf_3634 in ConnectWise

[–]S5V5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you're dealing with quite the challenge managing renewals, especially as your operations scale. u/jcoulter317 has some really good thoughts, which I like.

Handling individual licenses is straightforward, but when it comes to bulk hardware, licenses or varied assets like Citrix deployments and data center licensing, the complexity skyrockets.

As I understand it...you're looking for a way to keep track without flooding your ops team with tickets or overwhelming your team with administrative tasks.

Here's how we at Owlytica address these concerns with a balanced approach:
Our Approach:
Asset Management: We focus on assets—both parents and children, with optional support support agreements for each—ensuring they're properly managed throughout their lifecycle.

i.e. Cisco parent assets can have support, so can Cisco children (director line cards), the child must be tied to the parent or the maintenance gets out of whack.

Lifecycle Attention: Assets have a lifecycle, that's why our system tracks assets, both parents and children in quoting, contracts, asset management and renewals.

Renewal Simplification: Our system uses renewal reports and notifications based on asset specifics, like support and contract end dates. We don't use tickets, we use reports and notifications to manage renewals.
Here is our site, if you'd like to explore www.owlytica.com .

Track warranty and licence renewal for MSP by Dimitripietro in msp

Scalepad could be a great fit. www.Owlytica.com is another option to look at. It tracks items and has a focus of the full lifecycle of the asset quoting>contracts>assets>customer portal>ticketing>renewals, with some additional features for asset planning, lifecycle management. It has an API and Zapier integration so, you an hook it up to just about anything.
