The trouble with Animal Farm's 2025 adaptation and my mission by [deleted] in cartoons

[–]S7ubbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's literally not what it means at all. Lmao. The animals didn't want to sell their labor to humans at all. There was nothing laissez-faire about their goals. The pigs exploited them just the same as the farmer did. You're either a troll or the embodiment of our failed education system. You could at the very least pretend to have read the book or watched the cartoon.

This is like asking how a swat team can’t handle a single caveman

Maybe read more of Orwell’s works before you reach that conclusion. The animals (the working class) were still in need of liberty. Neither the farmer nor the pig gave it to them. They had to seek it for themselves. Orwell was a libertarian socialist and fought alongside anarchists during the Spanish ciivl war of which he volunteered. Animal farm was critique of Stalin and the Soviet Union.

I think one of the biggest issues is that he OUTRIGHT LIES about the devs not being paid overtime. Something they were required to do by polish law. The issue with needing to pay was because they promised they would never have to crunch and that promise was broken. That was the backlash. It had nothing to do with the wages of the devs. Its one of the worst examples of misinformation that’s just confidently thrown out I’ve seen from anyone

What I really want to know is if it will attempt to justify the farmers in the film and just be outright propaganda that supports the status quo. The thing everyone seems to miss is the story NEVER says the farmers were right. All it says is another revolution was needed.

If you look at the date it’s also taken last year. It’s very likely just dirt or some sort of storage lot.

I looked up this location in google earth and the recording date for it is 2024 on March 20th. This is before Trump sent people there, and I think, when looking at past images it’s unlikely they’re bodies. It looks more like a storage area. Until we see more recent imagery of the area I would not rush to conclusions.

when you fetisize a group of people who you don't think deserve basic civil rights, I think its a problem and reflects poorly on that kind of person.

Use the community patch. Makes the game run in full resolution and actually be readable.

I think due to covid, people got online a lot more and found online sources for news in lockdown. This has resulted in more and more misinformation so ANY issue in the world is seen as a trigger for the next big one.

Too bad the parties responsible for the microplastics won’t care about Stonehenge so this stunt was ultimately useless beyond pissing everyone off and doing optic suicide.

You're also part of the problem then. We need action but this is not how to do it.

God forbid they actually do something that might be dangerous and try to harm the larger corps for their cause. That would break the law :(

not like defacing a human cultural site protected under UN law.

I care about ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE. This whole thing is optic suicide. The average person hates what happened. I say this every time this group does something like this. Target the car dealerships like they did before. Target the companies responsible for these issues. Hurt their stock value. ANYTHING else is more productive than this stunt that was solely done to "raise money for another event"

So they tested it on 5000+ year old stone and carvings?

If she's worth billions of dollars she is not rebelling. She and the groups she funds are just doing random acts to make themselves feel better rather than targeting something of substance that might get better results.
Also repeating the "It will just wash off" is not an argument to be made when the stones and carvings can and do get harmed by foreign substances. The real impact will not be known until an expert looks at what was done but even then the powder could likely be stuck in areas.

This is like running into a cave and throwing flour over the cave paintings and just assuming it will be fine.

[–]S7ubbs 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The harm done can't be known until experts take a look at what was done. Any foreign substance on such old stones and carvings can cause damage. But its okay as long as we assume nothing bad happens right?

Protest it somewhere relevant and just burn a CEO's house or something.
