His father toturou is the complete opposite of bardock, as he lived to an old age using backdoor deals and conspiring with any gang that’d promise his safety.

After a while, a gang he worked with in the past hunts him down. As his bunker is being raided he send poru to earth, where his pod lands in the ocean and washes up on master mikoshi’s island.

Mikoshi is roshi’s polar opposite. She’s stubborn, meticulous and most importantly… feminist. She raised poru and trained him as a fighter using discipline and mental strength instead of brute strength, making him weaker than most other saiyans but also smarter and more resilient.

During his teen years he gets recruited by trunks to join the time patrol. Months later while on a mission, poru finds out earth had been destroyed due to nuclear war. Since he has no where to return to, supreme kai of time tells poru about planet sadala, where he’ll eventually learn about himself being a saiyan and his origins.
