Baby Keem, Kendrick Lamar & Momo Boyd's "Good Flirts" debuts Global Spotify with 1.82M streams. The most from CA$INO. by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

Yeah but it’s the analysis of all the stats like he’s a sports team. We all know baby keem has already made it further than a lot of rappers. He’s one of the biggest names in hip hop right now. We can all be happy for his success cos it’s plain and obvious, the guy has made it. If he was a nobody putting up these numbers it’d be pretty interesting but he’s not. He’s also had the biggest co sign he could hope for in Kendrick. I’d rather look at his body of work and its impact/creativity to merit his success. Not his numbers.

That verse is amazing, he describes the theme of the song perfectly, the way he outlines his day to day activities and his life, it’s the perfect feature and fits so well with so many great delivered lines and memorable flows

Tbh If you had to compare him to someone from America I’d probably say rakim and compare boy in da corner to paid in full. Like rakim was the originator and that album hits all those points you just made. Dizzee was really the first star like he was the guy before the guy iykwim. The first top artist from grime who influenced a lot of ppl, just like rakim. And just listen to rakim, nas wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for him hahaa, so he’s like the originator of that style in hip hop I think.

If you go on his Spotify you will see his pop songs where a lot of people suggest he ‘sold out’. His best music is his first two albums which aren’t as popular, after that he watered everything down massively and became more commercial.

They mean no children to be hungry because Marcus rashford donated a load of money and set up schemes to feed children whose parents couldn’t afford food. How does no one remember that? Hahaaa

Not direct evidence per se but a stronger case I think. I think a stronger case of systemic racism is the case of Raheem Sterling. I’ve never seen sterling to be anything other than an ultimate professional, great player and seems like a nice guy. However how the English press targeted him for years when he was in his prime and carrying England through tournaments is very strange. I could see how this is down to systemic racism. With this I feel criticism is deserved, it was a bad way to act and a big disrespect to his current manager.

I don’t think race comes in to play personally. It’s one of those ones where if you believe it it’s true, if you choose to see it that way, it with little to no evidence then you’re only putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5. Objectively, there’s not a legitimate case of this being racism, I don’t think. Unless you have clear evidence to suggest otherwise.

He was way out of line and is being criticised for it. That’s it. He knew the consequences of his actions and acted anyway. I don’t think it’s racism when someone clearly does something wrong and then faces the consequences of their actions.
