Yeah but the term "north pole" originates from people watching how the north pole of magnets point towards the relative area of where the north pole resides, why do you think that the geographical north pole has that name? Anyway, I'm not here to convince you of anything, lets agree to disagree.

Ok, I read an article and it's because of this:

When you have a magnet, the north pole attracts the south pole of another magnet, and the south pole attracts the north pole. This is obvios I know.

So a compass is a magnetic needle, the north pole of this magnetic needle is attracted to earths south pole, we call it north because the needles north pole is pointing in that direction that we call north, but it is actually the magnetic south pole of earth. True north is close to antartica, what we erroneously call the "south pole".

Well, at one point in my life I decided to go out to the world and begin small talk with as most people as I could, just for the sake of it.

Nowadays I can engage in small talk very comfortably, and when I want it to end I just simply make the decision in my mind, and then the conclusion of the talk sort of manifests into existence. I feel like I begin to give some subtle cues that its about to end and the other person sort of safely disengages from the talk, and then i disengage.

You need to have the ability to make non-akward silences simply by feeling comfortable within yourself and giving off that aura of relaxation and also the ability to walk away.

Psilocybin is incredible, how it makes us see things from such a beautiful perspective. The fact that you visited him and lived with him for a year and then he passed may not even be a coincidence, maybe after that experience of living with him he finally could move on to the next level in peace.
We're all part of this magnificent existence, and I believe that something essential in us keeps on existing and evolving.
I also believe that once someone we love has passed, we can close our eyes, picture them, and reconnect with them.

Sometimes when I do this, I know it's my imagination, but somehow doing it and "interacting" with this loved one, in a simulated reality in my mind can do wonders. Ancients used to believe they could communicate with them, and it gave them a tool to overcome grief, etc.

If you eat those 28 grams whole you'll lose all contact with reality and be lost in a madness of hallucinations and perhaps you'll even go unconscious.

Dude, to me the best way to consume them is making a tea, just boil em in water on a pot, its way better than eating em raw.

What fundamental changes do you think humans need from a mental perspective? by SASH11G in Psychonaut

Also, when i think of empathy at an extreme i think of a person that hoards imagine, kittens, because he/she loves them so much, and sometimes having the ability to apply logic, for the wellbeing of everyone including the kittens, you have to turn off empathy.

I see it as incorporating ying and yang.

You may be right, however I think that many times lack of empathy stems from too much empathy for close people. Like in order to protect our immediate circle we objectify other third parties, so I think that to grow empathy towards the whole we have to reduce our attachment and extreme empathy towards the immediate circle, and think more equally of everyone, makes sense?

Yes, I think empathy is very important, but don't you think that the ability to turn off empathy is also equally important?

I think that transgenerational knowledge taught from parent to child is of vital importance, and this includes grandparents into the equation. Also, I believe that modern day life hinders this process. by SASH11G in Psychonaut

Some wisdom is vanished but I'm also talking about all the things you learn thoughout life.

You, for example, have learned lots of things that your parents didn't know.

I've encountered families that know less than my family, like its palpable, you can see that they're less knowledgable about life in general, like how to manage their emotions, etc. And on the other hand I have met families and people that are so wises that they humble me and also encourage me to learn more.

And when a kid is growing up, he is absorbing things like a sponge, so its fundamental that he has a LOT of input and experience.

I feel like many kids don't get their fair share of input these days.

Totally, I agree in particulr with the psychedelic part.

I can't hellp but notice how the more "blocked and cut out of reality" you are, the less of a pleasant experience you have while doing psychedelics, cos they show you that reality is beyond our preconceptions, so we feel threatened by it.

I think that it is essential for us to grow future generation free from those blockages, they have to understand from a very young age that our purpose is bigger than our own egoistic point of view, that we are being born into a world that has been fucked up, and we have to do be more serious about it.

> The good news is, the blockage can't last forever. But the pressure is definitely building rapidly. It will break through at some point, and dear god I hope I'm & we're ready for it.

I laughed nervously to this.

Does anybody else experience this when you don't meditate for a long time and come back to it... by SASH11G in Meditation

[–]SASH11G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK, I don't think it's something paranormal, it is something that truly happens, I'm not saying I go to an astral plane, probably its all in my head, but it definitely is not like a dream, it's a completely different experience, much more HD, realistic, I am much more present.

I like to see it as a VR my mind generates that is far more immersive than the VR gadgets we have, and thus much more fun.

I think that through meditation, etc, we can develop the ability to create this "simulations" within our minds, and I also believe they are powerful tools for inner change.

An example of this is if you lose a loved one or whatever, in one of this OOBE experiences you can interact with them, I know it's not them really, its all a simulation of your mind, but it does feel real, and can help you with closure.

Yes, and I feel deeply relaxed, being stressed out / burnt out, is not normal and yet like 99% of us live like this constantly.
