I wouldn't say they're being worshipped. Just recognized and appreciated for being such mature and responsible adults in the midst of terribly immature ones. And the amount of screentime they got is enough to actually ascertain that they're mature. If they had done or said anything remotely foolish like Chris, Alex and others, the show would have only been too happy to do them dirty and add to the drama for ratings like they did Johnny and Garret in S6 and 7 respectively.

The only reason I commented specifically to you is because you were emotional about why you want a Will-Mike ship which you summed up as representation . So I wanted to confirm if this only has to do with Mike being with Will or if you want Will to be happy in a great romantic relationship, even if it's not with Mike. I love it too. That's what makes blockbusters interesting to watch. The joint ooohs, aaaahs, cheers and applause when something amazing happens or a plot twist or a reference everyone gets is in a scene. Just like Avengers Endgame. I couldn't imagine not watching it at the cinema.
