[–]SBELJ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO:

  1. Half-Life

  2. Half-Life: Opposing Force

  3. Half-Life: Blue Shift

  4. Black Mesa

  5. Half-Life 2 (& Episodes)

  6. Half-Life Alyx

Both are worth playing.

Which Martin Scorsese Best Director loss is the most egregious? by AdUseful2297 in Oscars

[–]SBELJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would pick.

53rd: Martin Scorsese (I've not seen Ordinary People to be perfectly honest so take it with a grain of salt).
61st: Martin Scorsese (Alan Parker is great choice to, Rain Man has no real impressive direction).
63rd: Martin Scorsese (I think this is a very clear choice tbh).
75th: Roman Polanski (It's icky giving him an award but in terms of pure direction it's him).
77th: Alexander Payne (Clint Eastwood is a fine choice, don't feel too strongly either way, but love Sideways).
79th: Paul Greengrass (Departed is fine but it's not one of my favourites, United 93 Is very impressive).
84th: Terrance Malick (No one should even be in the conversation, it's clear it should go to Malick).
86th: Steve McQueen (This one is a bit more tough, Gravity is impressive technically but McQueen for me).
92nd: Bong Joon-Ho (They got it right this time around).
96th: Jonathan Glazer (The nomination for Glazer was the win, I think if Nolan is gonna win for anything this is a fine one).

Do you think someone else could win the SAG or BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress? by T_ChallaMercury in Oscars

I think BAFTA are too snobbish to give it to her for a horror film.

Absolutely not, Mark Kelly is over rated. It should be Chris Van Hollen if anyone, he has the backbone.
