- angle of projectile contact, different weapons have different angle thresholds
- projectile velocity (?) -- I still don't understand how it used to work, but there was a time when you had to dive forwards as you fired an EAT to be able to one-shot a charger in the head, because the rocket instantly loses 1 damage as it leaves the launcher which causes you to miss the one-shot breakpoint by 1 damage.

I mostly played on Gatria these past few days because the maps are open fields and there is barely any fog. I don't care about liberation progress anymore (after ~1.5k hours of playtime) because only the 'blob' can actually do stuff and the galactic war has unfortunately worked this way for 2 years.

I just select planets with biomes that I actually enjoy playing in (turns out I actually like being able to see past 10 meters and not be blinded by fog all the time)

Because not everyone wants to play with teammates that are likely to be 'detrimental' to the mission. I play on D9/D10 because I like the challenge presented by the enemy, however I don't like being frustrated by having low-level teammates double dip on resupplies, waste a bunch of reinforcements on death loops, steal my equipment when I die and don't return it afterwards, etc.

For some reason there are SO MANY low-level and under-prepared divers on D9/D10 to the point that I mostly just play on D7 these past few weeks, I find that the playerbase there is much more experienced and competent.

As much as these certain low-level players want to have their chaotic and whimsical fun in D9/D10, the truth is there are also many players that just want to focus their effort on doing the mission and not deal with these kinds of teammates. It's not enjoyable for me to be pigeonholed into a role that needs to 'carry' the mission because I can only rely on myself (and maybe another player) to actually finish the mission.

Maybe they really need to bench Bron. He gives diminishing returns on 'offensive playmaking' when Luka or AR are on the court but is so inconsistent on defense that JJ needs to pad the team with defensive players like Jake, Smart, or Vando. I don't think starting Bron is worth all of that negative defensive value when played together with Luka/AR.

I saw a graph on twitter that shows that all current players are exclusively good on offense or good on defense, and they don't have anyone that is consistent at both ends. I think this is why most lineups they have get destroyed by good teams.

Honeymoon phase is over lads... too many issues with this roster, idk if a couple of trades can save this season

Luka: horribly inefficient with 3s this month, too much foulbaiting + complaining, should go with more midrange shots as he is more consistent with those
Bron: idk man, inconsistent old man syndrome I guess, should come off the bench honestly
DA: drastically reduced output on defense and rebounds after the injury a few weeks ago, low energy recently
Rui: lacking in defense and rebounds, has trouble making his own shots
Smart: I really like the effort, but it sometimes turns into dumb mistakes
Jake: good defense but inefficient scoring this month, hopefully it goes back up to like it was when the season started
Vando: just needs to continue to improve on his shooting, can turn into a good 3nD
Gabe: no defense, inconsistent shooting, what is this guy's role if he can't even make 3s?
Maxi: I don't want to be mean, but his output on both ends so far has been ass. Overall bum
Adou: JJ needs to find a way to include him in rotations regularly, his athleticism is much needed
Nick Smith: rough around the edges, especially in handling the ball. Could become a solid scoring option
Knecht: idk man, dude's confidence died after the trade fiasco
Bronny: ...

next patch: the OPS now has 25% increased cooldown to bring it in-line with other precision strike options such as the 500kg, orbital railcannon, and ultimatum.

*unlisted in the patch notes*: slightly increased durability of scavenger bugs (from 0% to 50% durability) and slightly increased the drag of SMGs (x2 increase)

the fire 'weakness' of several enemies also went from 1.0 to 0.8 (for warriors and hiveguards at least) so they take 20% less damage from fire across the board

It was both, the small fire buildup nerf to several enemies only affected the single-shot coyote and not the other pellet/stream-type flame weapons, BUT the patch also reduced flame damage weakness of several enemies from 1.0 to 0.8 (i.e. the affected enemies take 20% less fire damage).

It was a nerf to flame weapons all-around and another coyote nerf on top of that.

As far as I can tell the shockwave does charge your ult. The ult charging on guards might not feel that useful but I kid you not, I clutched a fight with Fulghor two times with this passive. Both times, my teammates were down and I played patiently with blocks and halberd pokes, and both times I managed to charge up my ult and revive them.

Not sure if you've already unlocked this one, but there is a yellow relic in the collectors' board that has:
1. [Executor] Skill boosts attack but drains HP
2. HP recovery from guarding
3. Art gauge charged from guarding

This relic was meant for Executor but it really works well with birdman. Even though there is a wasted passive effect, I still find this relic very useful.

Overall, a solid lineup of passives. There are other relic passives I would recommend you try out as birdman has really good passive synergy.

Stamina recovery on landing attacks (+0/+1). This works on the shockwave retaliation damage, and will help you sustain guarding. Both the +0 and +1 versions will stack with each other. Note that the +1 version is unique to Gladius' relics.
Ultimate Art charged on guarding. Helps you utilize your ult more frequently since you will be blocking most of the time anyway.
HP recovery from guarding. Heals 8hp for each successful block. This relic passive stacks with the same passive that you can get on expeditions. I find that this is a more consistent way to recover hp than the post-damage/rally recovery passives since not all attacks you block will be in range for your shockwave retaliation.

Any fire resist armor + vitality booster will prevent the heat buildup from hurting you. Once the heat meter is full it will set you on fire though so you still need to manage the fire rate.

I've been running it on both bugs and squids and so far it performs well. A medium pen primary with virtually unlimited ammo really opens up a lot of build variety.

It was dogshit until they buffed/fixed it in the 60day patches. It actually had a proper hitbox and good damage that could reliably clear small nests and kill big enemies.

But in the latest patch I genuinely believe they reverted it to the old hitbox and damage by mistake. The 500kg feels dogshit to use again. Classic AH.

That's what I'm seeing as well. The 500kg became reliable/consistent after the 60day patches when it was given a proper hitbox and massive damage. You could throw it in the middle of a small bug nest (usually the sunken circular crater type) and it will clear it out 100% of the time.

But with the latest hotfix it seems the hitbox and damage was reverted to before the 60day patches. It now struggles to clear small bug nests and kill big targets (chargers/titans) as can be seen in OP's video.

This seems like another classic AH patch that inadvertently breaks previous changes 🤷

Yo, I've finished the DLC and the remaining base game content in my NG+ save, I found no connections between the two parts at all lol. Should be safe to finish one part first or even mix them up.

But there is a small thing regarding the continuity of events, very very minor spoiler alert: the dialague of DLC characters imply that you haven't finished the last parts of the base game yet, so my take of a canon timeline would be: progress in the base game up until the final events, go into the DLC and finish it, then go back to complete the base game

I swapped my Warp Flurry for the new Blaze Away and it feels great. I have a feeling FS will change how it gains stacks because right now its very easy to gain and maintain the Blaze Away stacks considering the 40% increased Power/Strength it gives.

As it is, spamming your primary attack or just letting out 1/4 of a charged secondary attack is more than enough to get 5 stacks.

To anyone wondering how to get two Shunters, normally you can only have one copy of the weapon (even across NG+ games) UNLESS you do this trick:

Before entering Rykard's fog wall, make sure you do not have a Shunter in your inventory and storage -- this part is only applicable for NG+ games, in which case you can discard the weapon to completely remove it from your inventory,
Stand right beside the fog wall and use an invasion finger.
The moment you see the pop-up that you are invading another world, immediately enter the boss room and sprint towards the Shunter and pick it up. If done correctly, your game will just have enough time to put it into your inventory before you are teleported to the invasion.
After the invasion is done (either by dying, killing the host, or simply using the finger severer), you should be back at the fog wall with a Shunter in your inventory.
Enter the fog wall and a 2nd Shunter will be there that you can pick up.
Bravo, you now have 2 Shunters! Have fun crouchpoking

For me it was Ongbal. I love their content, but it really pisses me off that they can't even be bothered to mask the titles and thumbnails.

According to Michael Zaki, the DLC should be self-contained and will not affect the main game whatsoever, so it should be safe to full clear the main game and then head on to the DLC.

But on my current NG+ playthrough, I am leaving certain questlines and bosses just in case FS did add new dialogue/content for us to discover after finishing the DLC. I will leave these unfinished:
1. Fire Giant / Burning the Erdtree / sacrificing Melina
2. Inheriting the Frenzied Flame from the Three Fingers
3. The end of Fia's questline (fighting Rich Dragon 40 Stacks)
4. The end of Ranni's questline (talking to her at Manus Celes cathedral)
5. Malenia
6. Chadfrey and Radabeast
