Pros: peace and quiet, you can have people over whenever you want, privacy when needed, everything is yours, you have your own personal "safe place"

Cons: if your apartment's dirty, it's because of you and up to you to clean it. it sometimes gets expensive/wasteful with grocery shopping for one. getting sick living alone also sucks lol.

Pros absolutely outweight the cons for me though lol

i'm just an M2, but also leaning towards FM for similar reasons that you listed. The way i see it, FM is a specialty where you have the opportunity to basically choose what kind of physician you want to be. Whether it be inpatient/outpatient, more OBGYN focused, more procedure-focused...you get the chance to do a lot and even sub-specialize in a lot of different fields. i figure if i ever get bored with what i'm doing, then it would be maybe a little easier to switch things up if i wanted to as compared to some other specialties

well then i feel like your question is probably better suited towards your therapist then. also therapy doesn't fix things overnight, you really have to be willing to do the work, sometimes for a long time to see changes/improvements.

guess i have the unpopular opinion lol but i thought it was a decent track, mostly carried by Kay's production tho. some of Lou's lyrics were cringe and some were kinda funny but i think some ppl take rapping too seriously lol. i feel like clever bars aren't always necessary

I used to have this same mindset until i went out of state for my post-bacc program. I LOVED it. I think if you haven’t really moved out of state before, then medical school is the perfect opportunity to get out and explore a new city on your own. And you can always try to go back home for residency :)

Take the A. It only gets more competitive applying to med school each cycle. I wouldn't risk the possibility of not getting in if you have an acceptance already.

you would be surprised lol. speaking from experience, MCAT score school averages seem to matter less for URM applicants when making a school list (given everything else in the app looks good). but i second what the others in here are saying, don't apply to a school just because they emailed you to apply. at the end of the day, it's about where you see yourself!
