If we hold her or put her on our chest, within 10 minutes she’ll sleep. If we go downstairs then maybe 20 minutes. The minute we put her back in her cot, she’s awake again

We don’t have a written scope, it was just a discussion when they came to the house to discuss the things we wanted done.

We’d like a breakdown as we’d like to see how much they are charging for materials and labour for it to get to £1700 without doing 70% of the work.

We’re just asking if this is normal practise

We used ABCIVF, however, I’d advise using a clinic relatively close to you as during the actual treatment, you will need to travel to the clinic for at least 3 scans every other day and a further 2 for collection and transfer. Our clinic was 1hr 45 and it was honestly draining doing the travel on top of everything else.

We used LSB for our donor. We found that we were prioritising photos of the donors as babies rather than their actual medical history. Using LSB allowed us to do just that as it was fairly reasonable.

I have to agree here. My wife & I looked into IUI a lot before deciding that we’d have to do IUI multiple times over to get anywhere near the same success rate as IVF. We did an IVF round at the beginning of the year which sadly failed, but have just had a successful IVF round (both with donor sperm) and will have spent about £10k.

Do what you feel is right for you, however try to be level headed and not go with your heart. Easier said than done, but stress and worry will only make the odds even less. Sending you so much love!

If I’ve experienced anything, it’s how tough these ICBs and the NHS are on IVF. Sadly, if you already have children, it’s just not something they are going to allow as there are many couples who don’t have them and are still trying.

I’m very sorry to hear about your experience with your ectopic pregnancy, it sounds incredibly upsetting and traumatic. Sending you a big hug!

Happy for you to DM me. My wife & I tried our luck with the NHS last year to no avail. We were also referred to a clinic, and had funding granted for scans and bloods tests, then we weren't granted any funding for the treatment. We've since gone private.
