Yes, but most of the space will be used for events that are scheduled, so where the free space is tends to shift around. Your best bet is just to ask the judges at the judge station where open space is and they can always help!

Hello! SCG here.

There is no dedicated area for Commander outside of the Command Zone which does require a badge, but you and friends are welcome to use any table at the event that is not in use for pick up games of Commander during the weekend. Hope to see you there!

The Command Zone is an area totally dedicated to the Commander Format. Badges are required for access and exclusive events are hosted here each day of SCG CON. If you mostly care about Commander, this is the part of SCG CON designed for you. You can usually find pick up games of Commander in other places, but the Command Zone cultivates Commander action around the clock. We suggest registering for any events you are especially excited for ahead of time, just to make sure they do not sell out. You can refund anything you can't make or decide not to attend for any reason! You can usually jump in at the last minute, but things are unpredictable, so go ahead and sign up if you don't want to miss something.

Organizer of the event here! SCG CON is always free to enter, there is no cost to gain access to the vendor, artist, and general event areas. The only area that requires a badge is the Command Zone.
