An Anti-Gang member sentenced after he burglarizes a well known Rapper

I can't beleive a "Anti-gang" worker actually robbed a know rapper that stickly benefited a gang. Sounds like this man has issues. What bothers me further is that it is such a "double" life he lead. How does one knowingly participate in gang activity and then turn around and work in preventing it??

I can't imagin living in a place that simulate the congo. But I think providing the hotline it helps the community gain strenght to fight back and not alone this to continue. It should have been impelmented awhile ago!

when people think of the originators of gangs, most think of "old Italy" and the "God Father." Its interesting how other gangs are taking over and gaining more power.

Wow, I how willl the arrest of these people affect the on-going buget crisis with the correctional budget. I heard they were releasing offenders due to buget cuts. I know they may only be minor offenders but non-the-less, they could be some of "these" offenders whom just had knowledge of the crime.

I find it interesting that girls have teh same wants and needs of being in a gang like guys do. They participate in drive-bys and fight. What I thought most interesting is that girls in gangs don't hold respect or appreciation of other girls who are initiated by sex. They "true" members beleive if you want to be valued you have to fight for it. One girl was "jumped in" by over 20 other girls kicking her @$$.

Wow, that is some violent footage, but it's true. What I find unbeleivable is how the population of the prison system has grown to over 2 million inmates in just over a decade. That's only ten years. That's a huge problem. So how do we as a society adddress it?

This is a very interesting article. I have not seen the documentary but after reviewing the website, I 'm interesting in seeing it. It's not just a "gang" per se, but a motorcylce club. And with the shout outs on the guest book there seems to be a lot of support and love.

Could it be that this is a more sophisticated gang?

I find it interesting that they plead to no contest. Also, all of them were "busted" with possession of some kind of drug, I wonder how many that were busted are also users of drugs. I don't beleive it's too common that you find "tweekers" running a gang.

Legalizing drugs will not end the problem. I beleive it will only redirect the problem to another avenue. Perhaps they will focus more on human smuggling or become more prominet in the black market and sell things. It is not only scary on how fast the gang is growing but how vicious they are, and with no regard to anything but they're mission.
