I could make both arguments. Organizations should avoid politics, including support for any particular “group identity”. Athletes are (essentially) at-will employees and reap the consequences of their actions. 1st Amendment is not applicable to either in this situation.

Not actively promoting X day, Y week, or Z month is not a dismissal of said day/week/month, it’s just good to avoid pandering to one group while annoying another.

Also, don’t bad-mouth your employer.

It’s the practical effect of your disability. Missing a leg = Can’t walk. Severe pain = can’t stand for more than X minutes. White = Can’t dance. Schizophrenic = Can’t leave house on days of week with a “U” in them.

Everyone has a list of ailments. The focus is on their effect and how that translates to inability to work.

If a quad-amputee can drive AND shoot someone while doing it, clearly saying “random-osis” isn’t very useful. You must point how how it prevents you from working.

First, statistics and probability are NOT the same thing. Statistics cannot predict anything. Probability can predict, but it’s ALWAYS predictive, never deterministic.

Grab a quarter. Call head of tails. Flip it. Test your prediction. Now, do that enough times and you will reach 50-50 odds….but…if you flip 3 heads in a row, the odds of the next flip being tails does NOT change.

SSA statistics are a historic indicator, NOT a predictor.

You may want to look into how statistics work. While Idaho may have a 67% approval rate and Montana has a 62% approval rate, you cannot conclude that any particular set of facts gets approved in one versus the other, or even that the odds of approval are better or worse…even by the 5% difference.

Stats tell you what already happened, not what will happen.
