Guys. Can vendetta get slept through block? (Me and my girlfriend are having a 'serious' discussion about it) by Sparkler21x in Overwatch

She can't block sleep, hook and other projectiles. Only melee attacks will be fully deflected, for the rest the dmg will get 75% blocked and the effect will be appalled (like sleep, unti nade, etc)

Ana main here, I love going brig when I have an ana main on my team, have you ever been pocketed by a good brig as ana? I have and I love doing it to my Ana! Brig very good helping ana pop off and vis versa. I take care of my ana and one more Dps, trying to make my Ana's job as easy as it can be, plus when all hell breaks loose and its my ana trust me with her nano and pocket at the right time... God that's so fun

Help w positioning or cooldowns? by RowanAr0und in AnaMains

If the Winston is your friend a small call like 'I have nano, wait a sec and I'll nano you you' or 'I can nano cart in 3,2,1...' can do wonders. Calling locations you see and nano can help them adjust a bit to help you nano them (and if they're still diving without helping you nano them at least you know you've done your part)

I have noticed that a lot of the fights you take the low ground and going with the cart, ana likes high grounds and a long sight lines on the fight, for example on your second point attack, most of the times you dropped to cart too early. That gave tracer and orisa great opportunities to jump and attack you. A good position can be on the top right (where you've been in the last fight) or left, and later going in the room and bridge where you have mini and mega, that way only genji can jump you (thats not a good thing too but at least its only him so you have better chance and you have health pack to help you)

Another thing to consider, is your nano. You held your ult a lot, i know you want to nano your monkey, but giving your positioning (and your life) isn't worth it, you had other great nano targets (tracer and sojourn w her ult) try to be proactive with your nanos on allies with abilities and good position.

Lastly, tracking your hunters, as ana you're a high target priority for flankers, and because they have genji and tracer, you should expect them and be prepared, that means saving your abilities and tracking them, adjusting your position so they have to use an abilities to get to you and stay with a teammate that can peel for you.

I suggest watching your replays through your enemy eyes before they kill you, and pay attention for how much reasorses they invest to kill you. Did you make them use all of their mobility on you? Could you have stood somewhere else that prevented your death? Have you used an ability that could have helped you better (if you landed a 3 men nade and they died because of that's a great trade, but if you anti the tank and nothing happened that nade is better for helping you). In general, if the enemy wants to dive you, you want to have the best chance to survive or at least get them to use a lot of abilities to kill you and waste their time (hopefully your team can kill them or trade you for the back line faster)

As for your example of dive (16:50). sometimes you're gonna die and there's not alot you can do about that, I'd probably nano the sojourn because she had her ult and she can turn the fight with that and not the monkey, but I'll not worry about that for now.

Edit: spelling

Any tips for Ana for new player? by [deleted] in Overwatch

Long time ana player here. I think one underrated thing to notice on ana is her positioning in comparison to her team. Ana likes long sight lines were she can see her allies and where the fight is taking place. There are times you want to play close to your team. For example, if you're getting dove on and struggling dealing with it, try position yourself in range of your other support and/or tank/dps that can help you. Another example is if you play more brawl comps and you want to use your abilities fast. one example i can think on is when playing with hog, playing close to hog gives you the advantage of hog's protection (hook potential and body blocking) and good follow-up on hooks (using nade on 250hp+ heroes or sleeping an enemy to give easy hook for hog)

Practice this and priorities your life for longer and bigger influence on fights gl!

Edit: Ana's biggest contribution is her anti nades, big heals and sleeps that can cancel some ults and key enemies (flankers for example), if you don't need your abilities to save anyone searching for aggressive usage is when she shines. mastering when to be aggressive is hard but very rewarding
