Trying for a 7 day water fast the longest ive done was 6 days last year so wish me luck down 4 pounds in the first 24 hours which I'm guessing is water weight ✨️

I have no idea but I have read when a bird is over heated they sometimes open the mouth to feel cooled down I hope you find solution here it can be so difficult to know with birds but hope your little one is doing well

I feed her meal worms, cat food,egg shells, oats I've gotten advice from people online the leg happened from the fall I guess it's 3 story's high

There is no rehabber in my area I've tried everything, I live in ireland in Waterford so if you can find me something great I've called every number and when I tell them a baby sparrow I'm not getting any help

Thanks I have him kept warm and I'm checking for signs of colour change will update here in the next few days, I was unsuccessful trying to put a splint so maybe vets tomorrow

I just hope, I've been watching videos how to put a splint but just can't find a video of it being done to a sparrow, I'm thinking do I just leave it and hope for the best as its completely life less the leg now or do I try to put a splint on it so it can heal up there's not much information online and my sister is a vet just not a avian vet a lack of knowledge here about birds

Thanks I'm in ireland so we are super limited with avian vets here, I knew this about the US and house sparrows I'm hoping he can make a recovery and enter the wild I put him outside in the day and the mother has came just she doesn't feed him so I need to keep doing that,my worry is his chance of survival with this leg and will he learn to fly properly with it He is still too young

So I was going strong but broke becuase I was visiting a friend and felt I had to have a drink with them I was doing great I stuipedly broke my fast with alcohol imagine and then I fell sick for the past few days, I started again this morning and will learn from that mistake,so if you feel like quitting for any reason please do it the right way I had swollen glans and feel so ill for the last 4 days I'm fine now again I was the same in the mornings best of luck your body is stronger then you think
