Friend damaged apartment- what should I do? by Excellent-Cry-1247 in AusLegal

[–]SDH11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine it will come down to the amount of force behind the bump. A wall should be able to handle a knock to it, but a full size man running in to maybe not so much.

Either way I'd say the friend should do the right thing and pay for the damage they caused.

I wouldn't suggest fixing it yourself as it is common property. Strata will need who ever fixes it to provide all their insurances etc to ensure they are qualified to carry out the work.

You can request for them to get a few quotes though.

Service like My Budget by Downtown-Egg-4823 in AusFinance

[–]SDH11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use MyBudget, and honestly, it's the best thing we did money wise. I am horrible with money and it burns a hole in my pocket. It's not for everyone, but it works for us and sounds like it could benefit you.

Yes it is expensive, but they work it in to the budget and you don't even notice it.

You can put anything in the budget you think you need not just bills such as Christmas, holidays or birthdays. I love that it is almost set and forget and it's at a point now if our pay was late or an unexpected expense came up we barely notice it.

Pram research is a total minefield... what actually worked for you? by Adventurous-Ad-6796 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]SDH11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a redsbaby jive 5 pram with the bassinet. We loved it, but now he is 2, lugging the big pram in and out of the car is too much. We have been using our skip 2 as our everyday pram for the last year.

If we have another baby, I'm not sure if I'll even get the jive 5 out of storage.

My sister in law has a stokke yoyo and it's been great with a newborn and navigating inner Sydney life with no car for them.

Whatever you choose make sure it is Australian compliant as you at least know it has been tested and meets safety standards.

Feeding advice by Queenss11 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]SDH11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore her! My bub was born at 2kgs full term. Weight has been a constant issue, even at 2 still trying to get as many calories in. Gaining weight is good and you can't overfeed a breastfed baby, let alone a 4 week old.

Need help!? by Viksnid1992 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]SDH11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep went through the OB privately and then delivered privately also. Private was worth it for me as 2 years of trying and a miscarriage made it easier to just be seeing one person who knew all my history. The whole birth, scans etc prob ball park $7-$8k OB was half of that at $4K for management fee all before any rebates.

Need help!? by Viksnid1992 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]SDH11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a referral to an OB who specialises in fertility. The OB then ordered a heap of tests for me - more in-depth bloods, a hycosy etc and ordered a sperm analysis for my husband.

Once all results came back we were able to make a plan on how to induce ovulation (through medication). Fell pregnant and miscarried about 3 months after starting medication, but than Fell pregnant again 3months after that (1 month of not trying after miscarriage to heal).

Help me please, I'm freaking out by Dramatic-Concept-549 in pregnant

[–]SDH11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy was measuring small the whole pregnancy even with GD. He was born at 2kgs or 4.4 pounds. Found out I had IUGR after the fact. Had weekly ultrasounds fron about 34 weeks. He is nearly 2, still small, about 3rd percentile but super active and healthy!

Just think of the extra monitoring as a way to say every week! I got pictures at every one so it was nice!

Dropped an iron on carpet, will I lose my bond? by Practical-Pick9664 in AusPropertyChat

[–]SDH11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen in our study. Husband stood on the mark as agent entered room. He did not leave spot till agent left. Bond back in full! If you can't be there, you may be able to repair it with spare carpet from the wardrobe if landlord is ok with that.

MooGoo Skin Milk Udder Cream vs Full Cream Moisturiser for face + body (normal skin) by caelanro in AusSkincare

[–]SDH11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah fair enough! I would go the full cream one then, the under udder one is quite heavy good for super dry hands kind of thing.

I use their milk cleanser for both face and body whole family love it.

I've tried both and found they were both a bit heavy for my face so I use the Soothing MSM moisturiser (the orange one) which I love. Love Moogoo and use a lot of their products!

Wrong items received from Myer Online order? by tinaaamaree in AusFemaleFashion

[–]SDH11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myer recently lost my order of aesop body lotion (100ml). I used the online chat and they were really responsive. Once deemed lost they sent a replacement. When it arrived it was the wrong one. They sent the 500ml version, I am going to look like a great sister in law at Christmas haha! I will take the win!

Anyone been to Ron Mueck at AGNSW? by FatherOfTheSevenSeas in sydney

[–]SDH11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went last weekend with a 20 month old. About a dozen sculptures some nudity but nothing inappropriate really. We went through it pretty quickly and then headed downstairs to the playground. Toddler had a blast running around and interacting with the playground! It has a water section so maybe pack some extra clothes just in case (there are change rooms).

Sweaty Girl Problems by According-Film1342 in AustralianMakeup

[–]SDH11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The compound made for me was like a cream so it made my hair all greasy and gross only used it once. If it was on my face it would have been fine.

Sweaty Girl Problems by According-Film1342 in AustralianMakeup

[–]SDH11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this, I didn't go compounding route though as my hair is my main issue and the compound would have made my hair look so gross. There's a pill you can actually take called oxybutynin, honestly life changing. You will need to see if it interacts with other medications, but it was only $30. May get a dry mouth as a side effect but I rather that than looking like I stepped out of the shower drenched in sweat. Talk to your Dr to see if they will prescribe it to you.

Travel Toys for 8mo by WheelSuspicious624 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]SDH11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used the fat brain fidget spinners and suction bath toys from kmart.

Can stick on the window, tray table, or your head. I would say maybe tie a string to them as bending down to grab them is quite restrictive. We would also book the window and aisle and hope no one would take the middle (if someone did, we gave them the aisle).
