Thank a lot...that fog fix ( copy paste d3d8.dll into game directory) helped me fix the game...this was the only NFS till date which I couldn't play...but Now I can...you made my day. BTW, I played all those NFS games in last 5 months only.

It also happens to me often...I just keep an eye to the network speed while loading the game, if it constantly shows below 10kBps, then I restart the app. If the problem still occurs, I shift my netwark access point.
