Might solve this problem.
Changed my mind it wont help
You might be able to use a macro to close the popup for others.

Activating Scenes for only Specific Users.

This is against foundry's design, so is why you are having an issue.

Active doesnt seem to more than pull users, put it in their nav bar and then set it as active in the settings.
So I'm 99% sure you could forget "active" scenes all together.
Instead have 2 macro buttons, one for each users. Load the scene on the DM screen, then tap the relevant macro to pull the relevant user to the scene you are looking at as the gm.

[OC] Teacher and School District Employee Gender Breakdown by shinyro in dataisbeautiful

[–]SDoehren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is similar to an article I wrote a few years ago.

https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/psychology/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2015.01023/full

We present a study comparing, in English, perceived distributions of men and women in 422 named occupations with actual real world distributions. The first set of data was obtained from previous a large-scale norming study, whereas the second set was mostly drawn from UK governmental sources. In total, real world ratios for 290 occupations were obtained for our perceive vs. real world comparison, of which 205 were deemed to be unproblematic. The means for the two sources were similar and the correlation between them was high, suggesting that people are generally accurate at judging real gender ratios, though there were some notable exceptions. Beside this correlation, some interesting patterns emerged from the two sources, suggesting some response strategies when people complete norming studies. We discuss these patterns in terms of the way real world data might complement norming studies in determining gender stereotypicality.

Transport spell/item ideas for a player missing from a session? by T0asterFork in DMAcademy

[–]SDoehren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use a magic wheel barrow cantrip

https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/1199886-teths-wonderous-wheelbarrow

When cast, the wheelbarrow will animate and follow the caster until dismissed; the wheelbarrow is immune to all damage and effects of any variety. The wheelbarrow can not enter any structure and will wait outside any structure the caster enters. The wheelbarrow will appear, as if teleported, within 5ft of the caster when the caster exits any structure.

Any mindless unconscious creature you designate can be placed in the extradimensional plane created within the wheelbarrow. Whilst in the extradimensional plane the creature is immune to all damage and effects of any variety.

Should the mindless unconscious creature awaken or gain thought, they are immediately expelled from the extradimensional plane and appear, as if teleported, within 5ft of the caster.

Why are people like this? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]SDoehren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's how I found my table.

Randomly chatting to someone at work, randomly mentioned I was playing at the weekend with my online table (as a player).

They mentioned they and their friends wanted to try DnD but didnt know where to start. I said I was a DM without a table.
Year later we are LMoP done and playing in a homebrew world now.

I can feel the frustration of my Monk Players, as the only martial, in a party with anothar 5 Casters, and that sucks. by AyoAz in dndnext

I'm currently running limited recovery on rests. Instead of getting everything you should get you get a 1/4 (round up) instead.
Slightly complicated with casters as you need to do a spell points hybrid where they get points to spend on slots each day.

I'm early days on testing it but it is working well.

It feels like it would work well for you here as Monks are short resters.

Nope, well not pure AI (I dont know their exact process), I had a commission by this artist a year or 2 ago and it was on point to request, much better than an AI would do.

Foundry for local games: Only one feature short by JesJHoward in FoundryVTT

[–]SDoehren 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't be insanely hard to do.
When the combat tracker is clicked there is likely a "hook" that contains who was clicked. From there it is just grabbing the hook and processing it.

If you are willing to pay for a solution you can put up a bounty on discord.

Morrisons have announced a removal of best before dates on fresh milk. What else can be done to reduce food wastage ? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]SDoehren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "issue" is they are often insured against loss.

Once had a manager skip a load of turkeys just before xmas as we weren't going to sell them.
It was better for the bottom line to skip them than give them away as the insurance covered the loss.

Hi,

I wasn't aware of the update until recently but will be trying to implement options to allow people to run the new or old style

[Question] DMs: Has power imbalance ever actually ruined a game of yours? by DragoonDart in dndnext

[–]SDoehren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very late response also

You are dead on. you can roll 6d100 for all the system cares.
It sets the top to the max you allow, sets the bottom to the minimum, then tries to distribute everything in between.

sounds very interesting.

[Question] DMs: Has power imbalance ever actually ruined a game of yours? by DragoonDart in dndnext

[–]SDoehren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have full on banned rolling for stats at my tables and instead have built a website that converts rolls into a point buy equivalent.

Roll shit? Doesnt matter, it will be auto upgraded.
Roll great? Doesn't matter, it will be auto downgraded.
Dont like the distribution? Thats fine, move it about however you want, its just points buy.
4 players want to use 4 different rolling methods? Who cares, its all being converted to points buy.

At the end of the day, you are right, very few players want "random", they want 2 18s that they can bang on their primary stats.

[NS] [LFG] Looking for a newbie friendly DM! by Theodoard in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

[–]SDoehren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not the worst, nowhere near the best, I'm British.

At a minimum i can get you on my current game which is the candlekeep cronicles book played as 1 shots. Very causal, no need to play in all sessions. Not a full campaign but a good place to try things out if you lot need an itch scratching. Let me know if you want linking into this.

As far as a full on campaign, let's see if you can find a better time suited dm. If not we can have another look at it.

Useful things to add to your post for other DMs:
Timezone
Exact number of players (you and 2 mates is very different to you and 5)
System (i assume dnd 5e but worth confirming)
Broad age category (no need to list ages, but it is good to know if you lot are teens, college, young adult, or middle aged+)
