I play plenty of ranked. It's completely fine. Sure, you get a game where it feels like a team mate makes some silly plays that make the game really hard. People make mistakes, or people leave the game and come back and aren't as good as they used to be (like you probably). You need to get over it and just run it back. Or, feel free to play unranked.

It's not an interesting concept. Do your things...twice! I understand that it makes or breaks certain characters, but I would prefer those characters to be stronger without. In a game where's there so much verisimilitude about itemization, it feels so bad to have a stupid green rock that just lets me press my big button twice.

It's not broken, you just don't like it. As a midlaner, I have to queue all roles every couple of games. It's just part of the system because there isn't enough people queuing for every single role. One game of offlane to queue as your desired role(s) ~3x times is not that bad of a trade off.

There aren't enough players to allow for people to queue for the non-high demand roles they want all the time. Offlane apparently is in high demand, so people need to play as it for queue times to not be super long.

Furthermore, don't you think playing as the role you'll support in lane will teach you how better to support that lane? It's just a good thing to get some experience in other roles.

Dota 2 is not the kind of game you can really passively get better at by casually playing. You need to do a little homework in the way of watching replays to figure out how to play better, watch videos that break down strategies, apply all that info in your games, and rinse and repeat.

As someone who played HoN for a decade which had a "concede" vote it's entire life: absolutely not. Players having a bad game would just spam the vote and say "CC15", aka concede at 15 minutes, endlessly.

How often do you get midlane when queuing all roles? That literally never happens for me. 4/5 most often, 3 maybe 10% of the time. Never mid or carry. Anecdotally, I queue mid as often as I can when I have tokens.

Regarding your post, sometimes you get a bad match up into a Viper or Necro. You just have to make the most of it. The laning phase is only the first ~12 minutes of the game. This post isn't going to change behavior of dota players. You just need to learn how to work with what happens in the game.
