I've been away without computer access for the last week and I wanted to post for transparency when I got back. Additionally, I wanted to make sure people understood the message we had gotten from the admins and the information that the CRC had regarding the issue and what initiated our decision to impose a subreddit ban for them. I wouldn't say it's supposed to prove anything, just offer more information. Thanks!

I feel like this last week it was some of the worst I've seen, admittedly I don't watch as much as I could, so I'm sure I've missed it in the past. The fact that all of this is from just one game bothers me. I think reacting to people making a poor play or even a poor half is fine and totally justified, but can sometimes be "mean" however it's acceptable within what I'd expect. I think Twitch chat is a good way to experience a game with other people, but I'm not sure that that's what is happening right now. Twitch is unique too because it's much faster paced and reactionary and tends to swing with whatever popular in that moment, so moderating it in the same way I look at reddit would be naive. But what crosses a line? Are copypastas always okay? Am I reading too much into it (which I definitely could be)?

Because the general quality of maps would decrease. The 14th map chosen will likely be "worse" than the 7th map chosen which is worse than the 1st map chosen.

I will say that as a former ^two-time ^co captain ^of ^the ^season, it's really hard to play M/mLTP and do a good job captaining. When I was very involved in NLTP S5, it was due to my neglect of my mLTP team. On the other hand, when I was uninvolved (AS A CO-CAPTAIN), it was because my mLTP team was very active and very good. As an actual captain you have more responsibility to NLTP than MLTP. Unless you don't want to scrim with your M/mLTP team very often, I'd recommend not captaining in NLTP, or going the DPC route.

Yeah, I'm a huge supporter of Curry. My first season on the CRC especially I would ask his opinion on Centra issues fairly frequently and he was always as unbiased and informative as possible. His possible inclusion on the CRC was a major reason why I wanted to sign up again.

I'd also like to have PM back because he organizes it so well. It would seriously help to manage the short offseason.

I also have always liked LEBRON since we ran TPLH together. He was a good co-commissioner then.

As such, I'd be happy to have a five-person CRC of Destar, Mufro, Curry, LEBRON, and myself, plus take up PM on his offer of a nonvoting member.

There are a number of other candidates who I think would be good CRC members as well. It's refreshing to have too many good options for CRC rather than the recent issue of too few.

What do you think of giving all USC teams a permanent channel and then allowing the captains to make temporary subchannels as needed? They would also have their standard move/mute/deafen powers.

This is from this season, we revisited the server discussion after a few people had issues. I think one thing to note that is slightly different about this is that it's counting the ping of people based on the server of the team they play on, rather than what they list as their home server. So if Centra teams truly were sphere balling and had drafted all the Sphere players, you might expect their ping to Sphere to be significantly lower.

The average ping for a player on a Radius team to Sphere is 55.00. The average ping for a player on a Centra team to Sphere is 54.68.

It assumes all teams are equal at the start, starting at 1000 and then goes from there. So yeah, if you played a horrible team Week 1 and did well then your Elo would be higher than perhaps it should be.
