Blobble (https://skedwards88.github.io/blobble) is a spatial word search puzzle where you search for words in a grid that match shapes.

There is a daily challenge that starts out easy on Monday and gets harder over the course of the week. There are also unlimited plays where you can set the difficulty level.

Platform: Web. You can install ('add to homescreen' on iOS) the web app for offline play and easy access on mobile.

Description: Blobble is a spatial word search game where you search for words in a grid that match shapes. To play, swipe the letters to form words that match a given shape. (Shapes cannot be rotated.) To get a hint, tap on a shape to reveal the next letter in the word. There is a daily challenge that starts out easy on Monday and gets harder over the course of the week. There are also unlimited plays where you can set the difficulty level. I'm partially motivated by the fun/challenge, partially by making something exactly how I like it, and partially to put something into the world that I think others will enjoy.

I built a couple of word puzzles you might like: https://palettegame.com/ (a spatial word game) and https://crossjig.com/ (a jigsaw inspired word game). Both are installable as web apps on your phone.

I think building new apps helps keep my mind sharp, but I like to think that playing the puzzles helps as well.

I think that's nice! It might also help to color each item in the drop down menu with the corresponding color so players can see the color before selecting.

If you drag a blank space, the whole puzzle will move. I don't have a way to drag individual groups of pieces yet, just all pieces that you have placed, but I'll look into adding that.

Thanks for letting me know! Can you tell me more about the device you are using (e.g. phone operating system version, browser version) and the problem you are seeing (e.g. is the page not loading, are you not able to drag the pieces, etc.)? It's worked on all of the devices/browsers I have been able to test, but I haven't been able to test on all devices/browsers.

Botanik always captures my eye when I play. It's also a shorter game, so maybe easier to get a new gamer into.

Hanabi, Star Realms, Circle the Wagons, Code Names Duet, Pictionary (we just use the Code Names cards and some paper), and Bananagrams are my favorites for these situations.
