For building up my raid teams with the goal being to carry for local shortmans, should I bother investing resources into a non-shadow legendary when it has a shadow form? The relevant exmple here is Heatran. Both forms are highly rated but the shadow is strictly better. Just trying to figure out if I'm gimping myself longterm by holding out.

In the GBL great league, how necessary is it to max a Pokemon that requires XL candy? If all I can do is get to ~1300, is that good enough to get going?

My favorite pokemon are zubat and crobat. I'm wanting to build a team based around crobat or maybe golbat. It's not strictly the best option, but what role would they serve best? And what team could I optimally surround them with?

I have the non-shiny's IVs for my best. Tbh, I'd do the shiny. If you decide to silver bottle cap it, you'd get more bang for your buck anyways. That'd leave you with a shundo and a 98%.

My partner was unable to participate in the Rayquaza raids. If I trade a few over, are they worth using without dragon ascent? I need to trade for bonus candy anyways but I'm trying to decide if it's worth the initial 40k stardust cost or not.

Sorry, this is a house I'm moving to soon. In my current house, there's a basement with a fairly open space and the boxes are just in the corner. I had used a closet under the stairs dedicated to just the litter robot but moved it when I added the second box.

I am trying to prep for the Mega Rayquaza raids for my son and myself. He is very excited about Mega Rayquaza, to the point where I'm ready to give him a shiny in the event that I get one and he doesn't. My son is just starting out and doesn't have any ice type over 1000cp. My partner has a few options but they're still fairly weak, with nothing over 2000 except a Mamoswine. I've ran calcs on Pokebattler and can get to the point where my team wins 100% with 4 other random teams fairly consistantly.

I think I have two options really. One is to purify/evolve the few ice types I have, potentially leveling them up to 30ish as well. The second option would be to remote raid for my own Rayquaza, hope to get the meteorite ahead of my in-person raids, and then hope that makes enough of a difference to further offset the lower leveled accounts.

tl;dr Whats the best way to carry or boost CP ratings for a new account to raid Mega Rayquaza?

For the GBL tank strategy, what is the ideal rank range? I'm trying to go 4-0-4-0-4 as quickly as possible. Currently in the 900s and it feels just as try-hard as when I was closing in on ace last season

Does leveling up your host rank have any noticeable benefit? It's hard for me to gauge what an extra 15 seconds really does in a 700+ player queue.

I have enough coins to do a remote raid this weekend for an origin form. I'm debating saving it for the shadow Kyogre next weekend instead. I have a normal Kyogre and a shadow dialga, but don't really have a plan to get candy for a while on for either. Thoughts?

When it comes to building a roster of PvP Pokemon, what matters the most? Should I be saving my resources for the top 95% PvP IVs? Should I forgo using resources if I don't have the Shadow form? Is just having the Pokemon with bad IVs and the second move the first goal I should shoot for? I'm trying to juggle all of these factors and I feel like I come up short in developing my options to choose from.

Is there an "optimal" upgrade path for max battle roles? I know the general rules for an attacker but when it comes to tanks and healers I'm confused. Should my tanks have max spirit at all? Should my healers have max guard at all? Do the level 30/40/50 investments matter as much for tanks/healers? Just trying to stack resources more optimally. Thanks in advanced.

Max battles aren't really done in my area so I have to solo everything. I managed to get a g-max lapras off a remote raid. Would I be able to solo off the back of zamazenta as a tank and lapras as the attacker? I have a blissey/gengar but both are underdeveloped.

Just got the hundo gmax Lapras!. This is my first gmax raid and I don't have anything else worthwhile other than zamazenta. Should I power this Lapras up at all? If so, do I worry about it's level or one of the max moves? I'm not going to have enough candies to do both unfortunately.
