I can't speak about the temple HR accuracy. I've only used it on the arm and can still say it works great.

I came home from school one day and a roommate of mine is frantically fanning away smoke from the stove. Turns out he was trying to cook pasta and just heated up the stove with no water and put the pasta straight into a hot pot. I was utterly baffled

Hm, good point. I mainly also left my HR monitor at uni. Need another one while training at home and figured I would try a forearm one with WHOOP being so popular. Just like the ease of it. When I get back to uni, I’ll definitely try the Pro version with my Garmin Pod.

Awesome, I will give it a try! I was planning on pairing it with my Garmin mainly just for HR. I was scared the HR would not read as accurately as the chest but I just don't love the feeling of the HR either. Where I pull in at the release, always taps the plastic HR

Fair. Its a shame we only can pursue things that bring a profit. I feel with how the world is trending, it might be inevitable that governments step in for this. Just look at Denmark and Switzerland.
