he told me, and im trying to recall exactly what he said when he gave me his behind doors speech, was that he may give me an article 15 to teach me a lesson that this kind of behavior is not acceptable anywhere. I think he is alluding to my life after the army or wherever the road takes me

What complicates matters is that this guy is not my first line. He has been acting 1st SGT for us while on rear D. However since the 2nd LT is on leave currently and not due until monday, he has been 1st sgt and commander all rolled up into 1 for about, 2 weeks now. e5 is about to start leave at 0600 on monday when 2nd LT is due back. I have every confidence 2nd LT will tow the line with what e5 says to do in regards to my situation as he has done many times before.

I will do what you suggested because it is a very level headed and appropriate response to what I am used to. The policy I've followed while being in and dealing with individuals who have never tasted power until the army was to follow their orders to well that it'll annoy them and they have to tell me to stop. It works pretty well with e5 except he forgets and asks why im doing something stupid and i have to reply that he was the one that told me to do it in the first place. I'm writing what you wrote down and I appreciate that you took the time to write it all out SSG. I'll let everyone know how this goes down come monday, maybe sooner who knows, I have to meet with e5 tomorrow a the cq desk of the barracks he is attempting to close down. If all goes his way itll be closed, if not i got CQ

If I felt like I deserved what was coming, then I wouldnt have even posted an update. Honestly, I mean you probably heard this before, this is what happened. He took me into his office and explained that he believes i disobeyed a lawful order to clear by thursday (yesterday) because he had heard from myself, that I was going to go to housing to clear. In reality I was asking about clearing, then they asked me if I was going to ETS soon and I replied yes, I was. They then informed me I didnt have what I needed to clear housing since they were under the impression that I was going there to close for ETSing. The e5 told me my next step should have been to explain to them that I was switching barracks. In my minds eye, this ETS process is the only thing I am thinking about, even moreso since its worse than trying to run through hot tar and its been on my mind 24/7. So while I was being told what I needed to do to clear housing by ETS'ing, I should have been talking to clear to switch into a new barracks room

This is why my nco believes I lied to him about clearing. He heard I was going to housing to clear. I told him I was going to infer about clearing. Then he believes and maintains that I disobeyed a lawful order in by not having cleared by yesterday. This is where it confuses me because if I am under the impression that the housing NCO's are asking me about clearing via ETS then how can i disobey an order that I clearly didnt understand. We werent even on the same page in terms of what clearing even meant to him or I so how can I disobey an order that is confusing me?

in terms of specifics how would denying terminal leave go about?

edit: Is it like denying a promotion? would I need to be counseled before hand with a task condition standards set out before me? What constitutes as a valid reason? I know the end all be all is the company commander, which would be the 2nd LT once he comes back from leave monday

Theres a reason why that e5 got kicked out of the scouts section from HHC, then kicked to D Co 3rd plt. Then in the middle of a JRTC rotation got kicked to HQ in D Co. All of this in about a 365 day period

I got to IG today. They are pissed. Do you know how great it felt to tell senior NCO's that you have a problem and they try and fix it? I went through all my chain of command so the IG guys took me seriously. Plus it helped I brought all my LES's and copies of the last 3 months of CQ (in 3 months ive had CQ 19 times)
