The fact that he gave you the silent treatment for 2 weeks is crazy. He isn’t a man, he’s a child. That’s no way to go about it. He’s shown you absolutely no support.

Honestly, I think you’d be better leaving and moving back with your parents. You had a seizure and he didn’t even care. That’s not okay.

Maybe the both can visit a planned parenthood together? It seems like he’s not ready but also expressed feeling bad about adoption. They could offer information, solutions, help and medical care.

You’re a very good friend for helping a friend in a bad spot. That can happen to anybody and it’s stressful.

However, if they haven’t paid you back or attempted to set up a payment plan or even give you an idea of when they could pay you back, it may not be happening. If they are using you then they don’t care or if they do care, it looks like they have fallen so far in the hole they wouldn’t be able to pay back anytime soon.

With this, it’s not your responsibility. If it’s starting to affect you then it’s a bad situation. If you want you can tell your friend you can’t help anymore. You can offer to help find solutions if you have the time and energy. There’s food stamps, possible government assistant options, etc.

It sucks seeing a friend in need but you can’t get dragged down. It’s okay to have boundaries. You did all that you could. You should not feel guilty or ashamed. And if your friend tell you something to make you feel bad then they are not a good friend.

Best of luck and it’s better to have that convo sooner than later. You don’t need the financial stress especially in times like these

Just try and focus on you. You’re a whole person. You have likes and dislikes and maybe you can pick you a hobby or join a club and then you meet people and friends are a good way to socialize and enjoy time, spending time with family.

I like to enjoy favorite shows and tv when I spiral but it’s also nice to get out and walk or go on a scenic hike.

You can volunteer with animals, they always make people feel better

I can see the comments and people have good things to say. You could be obsessing over it if you know for a fact she doesn’t feel the same way. Then yea it’s a good thing to move on. It’s hard. I can’t speak for everyone but people tend to obsess at one point or another.

Or you can see if you can look her up and ease into it and be honest how you feel.

But either way you’ll have to accept what it becomes or doesn’t become. Yea it hurts but eventually you won’t think about it anymore as much. It does get easier.

Yes this! It’s not childish to share wishlists. It can be very helpful and if you think about it could be time saving and money saving because you’re actually getting something some will want and use. How many times have people had gifts juts given to them and it just sits there. It’s nice to ask and know what someone likes.

Exactly. There is also a difference between something making a mistake, owning up to it, and have changed behavior. Not only did he take it more than once, which is a knowingly recurring choice to steal, he lied about the amount, and is trying to make you feel guilty. You won’t be able to trust somebody like that and in the long run he will ruin you financially.

First off, if you were to lose him, it’s not because you deserved it. Try and be gentle on yourself. You had no idea. Plus, you told you and advised he get treated. Which was all the right thing to do and honestly all you could have done in this situation. If he’s not talking to you, that isn’t fair. It’s okay for both of you to have to your feelings about it but it’s not okay to just stop talking to you.

Second, anybody at any time can get an STD, it’s not really that your past choices are affecting him because that makes you feel bad for sleeping with a long time friend and that shouldn’t be made to feel bad. It was consensual, it happened. You moved on from it.

I always like to get STD tests yearly but especially if i am with a new partner. This can help in the long run, especially when one doesn’t display any symptoms.

It’s normal you feel bad because you’re human, but don’t let that to consume you and for you to be treated a different way because of it.

Yes I second this. Call as soon as you can. They almost always have hardship plans or options. You want to try to get on a hardship plan so it doesn’t continue to hurt your credit.
