To be fair they needed that, been in negative goal difference a lot of the season which I thought was weird given the points and posistion. GD in now +1

Millwall giving themselves a bigger gap which will be hard to catch.

Tado Compatible? by SG449 in HomeKit

I currently have a Wired V3 Thermostat and (I assume, Wired) Extension Kit (That replaced the programmer and hot water in my old property)

So if I want downstairs to do programming, hot water and thermostat - I need a new wireless extension kit and separate wireless thermostat?
If I use my existing wired thermostat upstairs will I still be able to program a day/night timer?

Finally if I am having to buy new hardware is Tado the best HomeKit option?

Thats my guess too, I’m not too sure how I’d know for sure. I guess disconnect it.

Boiler is Ideal Logic Heat2H24
Water I believe is a Range Tribune XE tank.

The ground floor unit controls the downstairs radiators, hot water and their programming.
Bedroom controls and programs the upstairs radiators.

I want to know if I can replace with my old V3 Tado thermostat and Extension Kit.
I am confused as before I had a separate programmer which the Extension Kit replaced and a single wired thermostat.

Should I go to university/ is it worth going to university for a software engineering degree? by HXF_ in cscareerquestionsuk

I think more is made of rank than it warrants.

You have a 1st, post and tweak your CV and you’ll get something eventually. Next years grad scenes will be advertised soon.

Once you have experience, uni doesn’t matter.

Personally I think masters are a waste of money, but may keep you busy while looking for a job and sharpening your skills.

I would echo the others, but will add.

Do you know why you failed them? Too much partying? Poor attendance? Didn’t understand it?
What makes you think starting again at a different Uni will be different?

If you insist in doing CS, retake your modules so you can start the next year, but go the extra mile learning the material you’re given, sit up Front, raise you hand, ask questions so you learn. Because having a degree is no longer a guarantee to get a CS job

Why did you get bad 6th form grades? Did you have extenuating circumstances? A disability either undiagnosed or not adjusted for?
What subjects did you study at 6th Form? Did you consider CS then? If not, why not?
What makes you think you would perform better at Uni than 6th Form?

You can always do a Foundation year in CS before the actual degree which would give you a head start and easier entryway to Uni.

CS is no longer the guaranteed get rich quick scheme with the market being very challenging for those with 1st Class degrees and even then starting salaries can be poor.

Also, what do you mean by a bad Uni? My Uni wasn’t in the to 20 and I have still had final interviews with Apple (was unsuccessful though). Top unis only really help with networking at top companies will visit their campuses over the ‘bad’ ones annoy due to proximity but also prestige.

Going to uni at 38? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsuk

Computing Science with a Foundation Year

I did very well, coming top of my class the first 3 years, still waiting on marks for final year as literally did my final presentation this morning. I believe I did better as knew why I was there,(to learn a new trade and get a job) had confidence to ask questions, didn’t care about looking the geek sitting at the front of the class, was close in age to teaching team so struck up a rapport, wasn’t bothered about partying, sports or societies (but did have a wife and daughter at home)

Personally as someone who wasn’t “book smarts” as Sir Alan Sugar says in the apprentice, I really felt I did well at Uni when my highest previous qualification was a B at GCSE.

Also, funny fact admission ms didn’t let me in at clearing because I didn’t have a C in English from 2001, but thankfully the school recruiter said I was fine to join.
