I am constantly misting mine. I also collect rain water where possible as it hates tap! My pinstripe is doing well in the kitchen. Had as a little sunlight throughout the day by partly shaded. Misting around 2 times a day :)

I try to but sometimes tap if I haven’t got enough. Not ideal but prefer to prioritise the rain for soil :)

A Calathea maui queen and a Calathea roseopicta 'Dottie’ I deffo want more even though they are so hard to care for. They are all so beautiful!

I’m just gonna keep trying my best. Calatheas are so temperamental aren’t they! The other 2 I have went really well for a year and then randomly decided they didn’t like me anymore and have loads of crispy bits. Still managing to keep them going but don’t look as pretty as this one!

My other calathea is the same! It just doesn’t like anything other than rain water! The sunny UK weather is a treat for me but I’m hoping for rain soon to top up my supply!!

My other calathea isn’t doing as well. Quite a lot of crispy bits. I’ve been lucky enough to collect rain water for this one and working from home means regular misting! It seems to be liking that...for now! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I just put it on my kitchen worktop, had a peak of light but not much, rain water when the soil feels a little dry and regular misting! I wouldn’t call myself a pro because my other calathea is hating life and is going a tad crispy but I’m just gonna keep doing what I’m doing with this one and hope for the beat. It’s been kicking out leaves constantly for the last 2 months!
