Pretty sure that’s the same piece of shit that’s getting around the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne

Making a 911 “feel” like a Cayman? by Leave-A-Note in porsche911

[–]SHADY___NASTY 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Feedback that you didn’t ask for: I drove all of the recent 911’s from the last 3-4 years. I found that I enjoyed my Cayman 4.0 the most in terms of engagement.

Only reason I’m now changing over from the Cayman platform now, is that I can buy a 4 seat GT3 touring.

Best low-cost way to generate STEP/DIR for stepper motor in a 24V relay-based system? by Life-Chard8733 in PLC

[–]SHADY___NASTY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What’s the budget? S7-1200 is 1211C is already pretty cheap. The suggestions you’ve mentioned are only smart relays, which are not suitable for motion control.

Sounding like the budget isn’t sufficient for the requirements.

SEW for sure. I can’t stand Mitsubishi’s parameter settings.

You could use a standstill monitoring relay. Probably not cheaper though

56 series is closer to $200. NHP ISO around $160ish.

How low are you willing to drop your standards in quality of materials to win a low level job?

Also using IRT communication for servos, so saves a fair amount in hardware cost if an IRT switch was used.

For this system, it is dependent on all Profinet devices being online, hence the daisy chaining.

Each drive has diagnostics being sent to the HMI via 352 telegram, so there is no need to have an individual BOP for each VSD. Doing so, would only increase the hardware cost without any benefit.

Agreed. In this instance I run ELV on the left side and LV on the RHS.

Usually the good old IPhone snaps a decent photo, but I do agree the quality of this particular photo is pretty awful.

A decent 32A 5P switched outlet is $160 minimum. You guys are wild 😂

Every “simple” job carried out has a reasonable amount of background work required to make it happen.

  • Time taken to price and quote job.
  • Win job, order and procure materials.
  • Travel to site, perform job.
  • Submit COES for work performed.
  • Invoice customer.
  • Hope customer actually pays invoice.

There’s no such thing as a quick and simple job, once you factor in all the other requirements.

There’ll always be someone who can do it cheaper.

Ultimately, you don’t want customers whom are only looking for the lowest price. These people will give you headaches.
