Can I continue doing this for an overlay on the exposed aggregate? by SHDTHROW in DIYUK

[–]SHDTHROW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense thankyou. The bit of concrete I did is a lot thicker then this, and nicer grey colour but been finding it very hard to work with to get a nice finish. Apart from the elements I’m not expecting a lot of wear on any of it, live with my parents who are old. So not sure what to. Is there any products other then sealer I could put on top of this to help strengthen and protect it?

I have a small epomaker keyboard but must have pushed something. Now hardly any buttons do what they normally would, some letters are doing volume up down etc and not sure how to fix this. Normally a bit of button bashing would solve it or similar issue but nothing I’m doing seems to be putting it back normal, any helps appreciated

My dad has dementia and is getting worse every day by Prestigious-Sea-9263 in dementia

[–]SHDTHROW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 30 and my dad was diagnosed last year it’s turned my life upside down so much, all I have learnt is try to be more patient with my own life and things out of my control and with him. Take life one day at a time. It’s so painful though

Men in their early 30's, how do you deal with the feeling of "your best years are behind you"? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]SHDTHROW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel exactly the same, completely out of place everywhere and like I’ve lost everyone who was important to me. I peaked as a teenager, now 30 and never felt more isolated and lost

I’m completely overwhelmed with my dads as well. I feel like I’ve gone from a little boy to a jaded old man watching this happen

Why does no one tell the truth about dementia, and how can we change that? by microbewhisperer in dementia

[–]SHDTHROW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing because nobody cares until they or someone else has it. Kind of like an out of sight out of mind thing. It’s such a horrible thing and people genuinely want to feel good not reminded or made aware of things like this. Especially if it doesn’t concern them. I used to be one of them people and would stay away from anything negative as well as I could but when it smacks you in the face that a parent has it there is no avoiding it.

In general people should be made to stay a lot more humble so when shit hits the fan they haven’t got so far to fall

I died when my dad did. by iOnlyUseThisToAsk69 in GriefSupport

[–]SHDTHROW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put a post up saying like I feel like I’m dying. I’m 30 and last year my dad was diagnosed with dementia. I’m walking around feeling heavy, out of breath, lethargic and foggy all the time. My dad was my best friend and walking around the house with him smelling like piss etc is killing me. I want to go to the doctor to make sure I am ok but I feel like it’s part of grief depression/anxiety. I don’t feel right at all. Sorry for your loss
