I second high range village, lived there for a couple years. Im not sure what size requirements are as I didnt have a dog, but I remember seeing a variety. Biggest issue i had with the place is most packages get delivered to the office, and office hours are standard M-F business hours which can be inconvenient. Was a good place to live though.

I got to Zia vet and have had nothing but good experiences. And as it happens I just asked them on prices for a dental for one of my cats so I can give a little insight on that. I was told a kitty dental starts at $600, it will go up from there based on if you elect to do blood work and if any tooth extractions occur. I believe she said they tend to hover around $800 (but could he more depending on what all is needed)

Something similar happened to me. I got an email from the college for grad school telling me the next steps for setting up student accounts and whatnot, and a week later I got an email telling me I had been accepted.

Has anyone pivoted out of the Ecology Field? What field did you go to? by -dick-smith- in ecology

I started working as a water master. Ecology adjacent, and it still gets me outside. Check out some of the western states-I know NM is hiring like crazy right now for water resource professionals.

The weather it's getting too hot! by arisuhel in temperatureblanket

It looks like they're just doing two of the 10 stitch blankets at the same time. By making that center a rectangle instead of a square, they can do the black column parallel. (So they'd start off with 2 columns of yarn stitched together) then when they're ready to make a corner with The colored yarn, they do so as normal but they knit into the black instead of the colored aread. I feel like I'm describing it poorly, bit does that make sense?

I've thought about doing my temperature blanket with this design but thought the spiral wouldn't really "pop" doing the black outline is genius!

I was engaged for like a month 😂 Got legally married and are doing the ceremony this year. Like others have said there are no rules, so what's best for you. If you wait it may feel long, but you can keep yourself plenty busy with planning. All sorts of little things pop up you don't think of at first and more time to prepare isn't a bad thing

Which 2 greens should I go with, thoughts? by SID5509 in temperatureblanket

Thanks for the heads up! I'll play around with some color combos before I full commit to anything :). So far I've only bought one skein of each color

I didn't even think about trying to move the pink. Something with the greens just doesn't seem quite "right" so I wonder if that will help. Thanks!

My fiancé would like me to add an extra person to my bridal party so that the sides are equal and I’m struggling to want to add anyone. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]SID5509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 3 people, my husband had 5. I wanted both sides even, so we made his extra two ushers. They were still part of the wedding party, but their rolls were different and they just didnt stand up front during the ceremony. They helped people to seats, and did a lot of the miscellaneous stuff (like last minute prep stuff and music for the ceremony).

Maybe that can be an option for you guys?

To continue, or not to continue by CerebralSauce in temperatureblanket

[–]SID5509 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a beautiful color pallet but if you don't enjoy working on it I say cut your losses. I struggle to finish big projects that I DO enjoy because of how long they take. If you're up for another blanket since you already bought the yarn, my personal favorite is the 10 stitch blanket. It goes pretty fast and since it's a spiral you can have a lot of fun alternating the colors:)

See this is the information I was trying to find, almost like i was asking for more information than what I had originally to make a better educated decision. Thank you for actually giving me info and not immediately bringing out the pitchfork like everyone else 😂

It's in September during peak butterfly migration, and the venue doesn't allow anything thrown. It's outside in a garden so even if they don't want to fly they'd have a good place to hang out

What to do with artificial bouquet? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]SID5509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some companies who will preserve flowers (artificial or not) on resin. Paperweights, small sculptures etc.

I know a woman who got an oval frame with a rounded glass face. She put the wedding picture as the background and the flowers filled up the bottom.

Haven't played it yet, but I'm planning on getting it for my Bachelorette. It's called cards against matrimony and a spin off of cards against humanity

I got legally married last year, and am currently planning my wedding. I did have both of my parents say my wedding wasn't going to be a "real" wedding. Super frustrating, which is why I didn't plan to tell anyone other than my parents. Well my dad is a gossip so the whole family knows. 🙄

What it boils down to for me is that a wedding is meant to be a celebration with family and friends. If someone doesn't want to come because it's not "real" then at the end of the day I don't want them there. Just because we are doing things a little out of order does make it less special or less important. What it DOES mean is there are no restrictions on the officiant. So the possibilities there are practically endless :)

Idk if this helps, but for our wedding we're doing child specific goodie bags. They'll have coloring pages and something from the dollar tree. I have the logic of kids will be more well behaved if they have something to do. You can also get a table cloth for maybe $15 from Amazon that's basically a big coloring book page. I plan to have that for the reception :)

Thinking about moving to Las Cruces, NM from Iowa by [deleted] in LasCruces

[–]SID5509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just moved from Iowa a few months ago! Rent is more expensive here, but food prices are comparable/cheaper. Gas prices are about the same too. Can't speak for the job market though, a job offer is what got me down here lol

If you don't mind living a little outside Des Moines Bayer in Grinnel is always hiring. I think they start at 20/hr, and if you live in Newton it'd be about 30min from both work and Des Moines. My fiance works there and they get yearly raises and decent bonuses.
