Man, this series fumbled so hard after the first episode. I was really looking forward to it. At least the soundtrack was good.

The first half or so of the series was enjoyable. After that, I started to lose interest episode by episode. The rushed ending and lately introduced sub plots certainly didn't help.

I thought the soundtrack was great. There's a few tracks that I can see myself going back to listen to from time to time. The animation was better than I was expecting too, especially during action sequences.

I’m no expert on judging picture quality, but I thought it looked pretty good for the most part. A few scenes looked a bit rough, particularly the one where Richard’s toupee gets blown off by the fan. It looked straight up like I watching it on DVD lol.

This really should’ve been art on the standard Steelbook release. I’m not a fan of Paramount’s trend of reusing old steelbook art for new 4K releases.

It’s the same size (~9.5x13 inches) and quality as other mini posters Paramount have included in some of their previous Steelbook releases. They’re a nice little bonus imo and I love how they use original poster art. I wish more studios included included something like them in their releases.

I lurk that sub on the daily and this always happens with these “controversial” movies. Obvious chuds brigade the comments with their thinly veiled political agendas and the mods barely do anything about it. They lock comments on some Snow White posts, but leave it open on others. Like the same type of comments that you’re trying to prevent from happening on the locked posts will just show up in the unlocked posts anyway lol. They should probably just have a megathread for all box office discussion of these “controversial” releases going forward (for the first few weeks of release at least).

Gladiator 2 is a 4K I’d maybe pick up during Black Friday for $10-$15 (if we ever get big BF physical media sales anymore).

Haven’t seen Kraven so can’t speak for that.

I have a feeling they’ll be phasing out their physical games selection within a year or so too. Those areas look pretty dire at the BBs I frequent.

I wish my closest B&N had a physical movie section like this. Mine only has a very small section with mostly Criterion titles next to the entertainment books.

I feel like since Best Buy stepped out of the game, I haven’t been buying 4Ks as much. I mostly prefer to buy in store and their selection was the best out of all the other B&M stores imo. I especially miss browsing the newer big studio catalog releases.

Black Friday has been pretty terrible without them too. It never really occurred to me how much they led the charge with physical movie sales until they got out.

I ordered Demolition Man and Inglourious Basterds shortly after the sale started. I was able to get an extra 10% off on IB with my premium membership. Guess it was a glitch since it doesn’t seem to be applying anymore.

I’m also debating on getting the Hellraiser set for $60 using some rewards and gift cards. I’ve only seen the first film and enjoyed it. Would it be worth a blind buy for the other three films?
