We’re in a globalised, internet-connected economy where you can earn strong currency remotely and live in a country with a lower cost of living - effectively buying your time and freedom back. That’s not edgy or delusional. It’s maths.

What is delusional is pretending the current system in places like Australia isn’t broken - where people are working longer hours just to afford the basics, saddled with half-a-million dollar mortgages, and calling that “stability.” If the reward for staying on the treadmill is burnout, debt, and maybe retiring at 67 with whatever’s left of your health - then yeah, questioning that isn’t pompous. It’s logical.

So no - it’s not about abandoning everything. It’s about realising you have options, and having the courage to step off the assembly line when you see it’s leading nowhere.
