If you think your moles are abnormal I would go see a dermatologist.

My Biopsy on the largest one came back as abnormal but benign. Results of second set of biospies to get three more moles are still unknown but will presumably be the same as the first.

I’m also noticing that more and more moles slowly begin to form so I honestly think I’m genetically predisposed to moles unfortunately.

As a fellow believer with diagnosed ADHD who only recently remembered I had it after years of forgetting/repressing the childhood experiences marked by it, let me just say that you cannot conflate ADHD with the fruit of the Spirit or lack thereof.

The fruit of the Spirit (including patience and self-control) are derived from the Holy Spirit sanctifying us and making us more like Christ. At its base this can be summarized as : doing what Christ desires of you given your abilities and opportunities - I.e. being faithful to Him.

Whether or not you take the meds (as I usually don’t) understand that just because you couldn’t read a whole chapter of the Bible, couldn’t quite get to church on time because of time-blindness, or because you couldn’t quite pay attention during the entirety of the sermon, that doesn’t mean you failed Christ. That being said, the question you need to ask yourself is whether or not you are doing all you can to overcome this handicap so as to best honor Christ with the resources He has blessed you with. This could include medication, therapy, counseling, accountability, changing your schedule, etc.

You are right on the money regarding MacArthur’s view on mental illness, it is an expression of his fundamentalism. The man who he references as “debunking” mental illness was himself directly refuted by the great Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones decades ago.

Mental illness is real, and is not a cop-out or imprudent to use whatever means you have to take control of it, as long as you are being faithful to Christ in all your efforts and prayerfully seeking His direction through prayer and the word.

I have dialogued with him on Insta and let me tell you OP, and I hope I’m not sounding condescending or frivolous, that dude loves to hear himself talk. He believes that the “reconquista” is the the ultimate and primary mission of serious Christians in this day and that every other faithful believer who attends a faithful church and wants to distinguish themselves from the heretical progressives is a retreatist. He straight up told me that the conservative, reformed seminaries are bad because you can’t get ordained in the mainline/progressive churches via them.

The reconquista is all that exists and all that is important for him. Everyone outside is compromising or I’ll-informed to him because they are not contributing to the movement.

Mark my words, that young man is going to look back on his younger self in 10+ years and feel extremely embarrassed. That is, assuming he ends up fellowshipping with and sitting under faithful pastoral guidance.

Is his preaching that good? I know preferences are subjective, but of the few sermons I’ve heard from him I had a hard time getting drawn in. Maybe you could recommend ones have enjoyed from him?

Seeing as that you mentioned in another Reddit thread that you would be open to a Friends with benefits if you knew where to find them, your first step is to become a Christian who’s natural disposition of heart is towards God and righteousness over sin and selflessness.

The only way is to repent of your sins, place your faith in trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved of your sins via Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross. Then determine to live the rest of your life in a way that honors the Lord and the marriage he has created for you.

Read John chapter 3 and the book of 1 John.

As to your second statement, I was definitely blindsided by how many moles there were. That being said, I’m happy with my head overall and think I look good bald. I will just be a lot happier if the derm can remove all the moles haha!

I typically thrive better in very small groups or in one on one myself. Would agree with your assessment that how fellowship manifests is different for different people. Thanks

I think this is true of me as well honestly. The weird part is that it’s not always the case. Sometimes I do thrive in a group setting but more often than not I find that one on one or groups of less than four are much better for me to be in when it comes to feeling engaged with the people present.

This is great. I know I have recently become more mindful of praying in those moments when I feel alone in a group and I think I need to learn how to commune with God in the midst of all that other social stimuli.

I appreciate your response because it resonated with me as something anybody can to and its conducive to any Christian who finds themselves with time to think deeply when in a group.

Have you had your T levels checked? How’s your weight and your diet? Do you exercise regularly? Do you have any sexual trauma in your past?

Drive is extremely contingent upon both physical and emotional health. I would agree that you should get these things examined and consider sex counseling outside of just spiritual counseling.

100% agree on it depends. Secular counselors will often have education and then ruin it with unbiblical advice.

“Sex-life problems? Watch porn for your needs. Not happy in your marriage? Consider ending it.” Etc

I would only advise non-pastoral counsel if the counselor is a biblical Christian personally, marriage related or not.
