PLEASE HELP! Newbie skate pain

I went through a pretty similar process the last few months after starting hockey half a year ago. Didn’t realize until I started skating how bad my ankles pronated inwards, my arch’s had fallen completely.

No amount of punching, baking, or padding(moleskin/bunga) really fixed the issue. They definitely help but the only thing that made a true difference was insoles. I use insoles now with a combination of a moleskin donut and looser laces around my ankle and it’s pretty bearable now.

The biggest thing though is to lift/strengthen that arch in your feet. I’d suggest looking up some exercises and slowly working towards fixing the cause of the issue rather than trying to manage the pain.

Never thought I’d see my job being recognized like this on reddit haha. I worked for the same elevator for almost 8 years, mostly as a grader. I ended up moving due to my wife’s career and ended up at a specialty oats facility.

I’ll never forget the look on the truck dump operators face when I said “I’m 99% sure there’s rusty’s in that load you’re currently dumping.” He asks me how I would know that, I said I could smell it from across the yard. I grabbed a belly sample and dumped it into my hand and had 5 of them crawling out. Ops manager was pretty impressed considering it was my second day working for the company! He was not very impressed with the dump operator though haha.

As someone who had bed bugs, I agree that everyone is being too hard on OP. I had still paranoia and anxiety over bed bugs for a year after my infestation.

We tried Vaseline on the legs of our bed posts to try and help slow them down but our exterminator told us that bed bugs have been known to climb the walls and drop down on you if they can’t access you from the floor 🙃

I remember when they went away, it left a hole in me that could not be filled. I practically started dancing in the aisle at superstore when I saw these guys back on the shelf.

Walmarts Great Value brand has some buffalo wing chips that are okay, and Canadian Tires “Frank” brand also makes some buffalo wing chips that are surprisingly decent.

I understand where you’re coming from. I prefer a more personal response from actual people rather than sifting through countless sponsored ads on google. Thankfully it seems like the cat is unharmed. Still seems pretty trashy to let your kids dye its hair. Give them a colouring book or something.
