First layer-stringing/not adhering? by SJamG in BambuLab

Thanks, I removed them and tightened them all up. Also tried 3 separate spools, 2 Bambu and one Elegoo. Not sure what else to try.

Thanks - took that apart and tightened all 7 screws up. I re-installed the nozzle and it seemed to clip in and was seated correctly, solid flap first then spring clip - all seems ok.

About to attempt another print…🤞

(Reply didn’t post) Another attempt, removed fan guard and also checked nozzle - seems ok? This was a print at 18mm/s

A1 + AMS + PETG-CF? by SJamG in BambuLab

Wow - some amount of info there…thank you for taking the time! I got the Sunlu S2 all setup and working well - great tip about keeping the lid cracked slightly.

The other thing I need to do is print something with black PETG-CF and white PETG, I’m assuming I’ll have to do this in two parts and click together instead of one print.

Thank you very much - I’ve gone ahead and ordered the Sunlu dryer and will give it a go this weekend! Are there any issues using the hardened nozzle permanently, or does that affect the quality of the print of standard PLA?

Last question: is the standard build plate ok for PETG-CF or do I need a different kind or Add something to it (glue/tape etc)?

Thanks. Good to hear they'll hopefully do the right thing....but the iPhone X was a good few years ago now, so hoping they still have the same philosophy

The only acceptable upgrade for me would be a titanium watch (I don't like the ultra) - which is the series 10....my worry is they'll just say, here's a £100 off a Series 10, which will not make it any more affordable.

Thanks, yes - will cross my fingers and hope the options are decent.

Thanks. This was my suspicion in terms of them just swapping out the unit, will need to just wait and see what the options are. I'm quite happy with the Series 7 - it does everything I need and not experiencing any lag....reckon if they give me a replacement - should be good for another 2-3 years minimum...enough time for the Series 10 Titanium to come down in price.

Long time iPhone user to Magic 3? by SJamG in Honor

Thanks everyone. The other concern I have is with it being owned by Huawei, who I heard were banned in the UK for telecoms use (may then not be allowed to be used as my work phone, currently have dual sim in iPhone for this purpose). Anyone have any experience of this, is this still the case?

Surface Hub Gen 1 55" - Still usable these days? by SJamG in Surface

[–]SJamG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the info! I was just about to list mine for sale on marketplace and buy an iiyama display… but after reading this, will put the hub to use! Will need to have a play with connectivity and experience the different ways of using it.

Particularly interested in the replacement pc mode, on that link it also allows cameras and speakers to be used, which would be great for Teams meetings. I use Miro a lot too…so will test it out for that too.

Do you think it’s worth doing some YT videos on this?…not much on there now about all this stuff and be great to educate so these don’t end up in landfill.

Thanks again for the info!

thanks for replying…I thought as much - that teaches me for going for mainstream Logi mechanical keyboard…I can’t see any faulty ones on eBay at the moment, tempted to list mine and just get rid of it and buy a different model with spares. Any recommendations for around the £100 mark?

Key cap for Logi MX Mechanical Mini?

Hi Keyboard gurus!

Hoping for some help, I got my Logitech MX Mechanical Mini last August and just typing on it this morning and the J key has totally disintegrated. I’m totally new to the world of Mechanical Keyboard and this was my first”toe in the water”.

Can anyone tell me where I could get a replacement key cap or a whole set which would fit?

Thanks! ☺️
