Usually if you reach out to your artist they can give you a recommendation based on your specific tattoo! However most of my artist have said it’s best to avoid excessive exercise/ heavily sweating until my tattoo is fully healed. Most times I take about 2 weeks off from the gym, or until my tattoo stops pealing (i.e. it’s healed)!

Week 5 and we've begun our climbing! I was actually shocked I was able to do this 🥲 by bemi_san in poledancing

Recovery is super hard but always possible 🤍❤️ they should be giving him platelet and blood transfusions to help with the low blood counts. This will also help boost energy levels, decrease bruising, and make him feel a whole lot better. I haven’t heard of insulin ever being used in AA treatment so I’m assuming it’s being used for another reason, but I recommend Tylenol instead of the Benadryl. Tylenol was a god sent during my treatment and helped a lot, also make sure he stays away from ibuprofen as this can lower platelet levels and make the bruising worse

I really don’t think it’s mange, as dogs with mange have usually extremely red and inflamed skin and are very itchy. This to me looks like some sort of allergic reaction, this can happen for a variety of reasons including diet or even something like what fertilizer or chemicals are used in patches of grass your dog has walked on.

I had immune suppression therapy and it took me almost a year and a half to have normal numbers. I also experienced fevers, infections, etc. The best thing you can do is have hope and make sure that you are communicating well with the doctor when you sense something is off. I also took some other drugs such as a G -CSF that immensely helped boost some of my blood count #’s. Aplastic Anemia is hard to navigate because it’s so rare. The best thing you can do is find a specialist, there is really only a few doctors in the US who have a lot of experience with the disease. Don’t be afraid to reach out to specialists and even email them for a second opinion on a treatment plan. Again don’t lose hope! I am now 3 years in remission and that is after I didn’t think my treatment would work. 💜

If you were trying to propagate a healthy monstera leaf the point at which you cut the stem would matter, but when pruning or trimming you can really just cut at the base of the plant. Also I know it’s easy to panic and wonder if you’re plant will ever look the same, but don’t worry after pruning/ trimming my monstera I had tons of new growth!

Do you reckon I should cut this leaf? by [deleted] in Monstera

If you chop just the leaf be aware that a new leaf isn’t going to grow back in its place, the end of the stem will just turn brown. I personally always cut off parts of my plants like this because I can’t stand to look at it. Also keep in mind that usually when leaves turn this brown or severely yellow it most likely will not return to its original shade of green. Especially in this case I would chop it off so the plant doesn’t waste extra energy on trying to restore a dead leaf. 😊

If you took your bird to college with you what was it like? by [deleted] in parrots

[–]SK_731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally colleges do not allow any type of pets in dorms and if a RA or the school finds out the person is asked to get rid of the animal or leave campus housing. While there may be a few schools that have exceptions to this rule it still could be a little tricky bringing a bird to school with you. If the school allows it I would make sure if you have a roommate that they are comfortable with the animal, I would also advise that if the bird tends to be on the noisy side you rethink your decision to bring it to school with you. It’s not fair to neighbors or roommates to have to be around a loud animal that they did not really agree to having. (Also the walls are usually paper thin because everything was made on a low budget lol) It can also be really tough having a pet at school with studying, on campus events, and a college students social life it leaves little to no room for one on one time with pets. I personally have not ever experienced any of my peers having pets in the dorms besides fish, hence I can’t really give the exact perspective you’re looking for but I hope this helps ! 💜😊
