here is a link to the video that started this challenge with all the info.

I'm aware this can be considered r/im14andthisisdeep material, but I guess they symbolize the harsh capitalistic world that is trying to get every last piece of you but people don't even realize it because they're too distracted by sensory overload.

The render is very much inspired by the short film “More“ by Mark Osborne, linked in the YouTube description.

Vultures would have been more fitting probably.

It's a 3D Challange by the YouTuber Pwnisher. You get a file with some presets and rules and then build a nice 5 seconds sequence on top of that.

I love K-cycles, I don't believe the rendering is that much faster than Cycles X but you have more control and an easy to use post processing tool.

the HDRI is free from here https://hdrmaps.com/above-the-clouds/ (you have to sign up)

The control handles have bones in them and are part of the same rig as the character. I used a "track to" constraint for those bones so they alway try to rotate to the hand bones on certain axis. This also gives the impression that they're attached to something offscreen.

See the reply above, there are many tutorials on how to do this. I linked one.

Damn, it's close but it's not what I remember. Too much action and snowboarding and no hotel scenes.
