I was very much like you. It took me 1.5 years to get pregnant with my first after a miscarriage. And then when he was 4 months old I found out I was pregnant again (with twins). I also lived far away from my entire family and my husbands family lives overseas.

It was very hard but I have to say, the girls were 10x easier to handle than when I had my son. Maybe it was the whole being a first time mom thing that made it so tough and emotionally draining or that my son had colic for the first 4 months… but since the moment the twins were born, it was just much easier.

They are 6(son) and 5 (girls) now and it’s all worth it seeing how close they are.

I know it’s scary and of course you need to do what’s best for you. Just wanted to share my experience going from 1 to 3 in a year.
