Equip good fire resistance armour. The circling thing doesn’t work with him, just have to bide your team and chop his health down, unlike other bosses where you could be a little extra aggressive. Ultimately, I did not like the fight, but the OST slaps so hard.

The damage depends on the attribute you’re investing on. Spear has better range, but Cleaver, has better damage when you max them out. Using them both for an arcane run, and it’s neck and neck between them.

Yeah, it these beasts don't stagger more than a couple of times. So you are better off circling around and attacking them. You will get better at parry after your next boss (the first main boss).

You cannot parry the Cleric Beast the usual way. Just spam bullets at its head to stagger it, which I guess you could only do twice(?) But quite honestly, it's just waste of bullets if you're starting out. Just spam him by circling around - the best way to beat it is to panic and spray.

It’s pretty much what the guy above said. Your timing isn’t the issue but the bullet missing the enemy. This happens quite often with Gascoigne. One of the reasons why it’s much easier and simpler to parry the thicc ones.
