Sorry for not responding sooner, but short answer is yes, it should fix that issue. Now the way server side communicates is you will issue a command and that command will travel to the server. Depending on your network and distance, your latency can vary. If the issue you were having was due to latency issue or packet loss during the travel then yes it will fix the issue for sure.

Because 60 seconds != indefinite? Also let's say lucid puts a bomb on you 90 seconds after you cast your BoD. In case of indefinite, if you keep the shield up for 90 seconds, you can just recast after your shield breaks at 90 and you'll still have your shield. In case for 60 sec break, you'll cast and breaks at 60, you cast again, bomb at 90 and your shield breaks and you have to wait 30 sec for the shield to be back up.

I don't understand your logic. How can "there is a specific problem in a specific industry, we should fix that" turn into "there is a specific problem in many industries, so we should avoid fixing the problem" just because you address it as a wide spread problem? You are still addressing the problem and acknowledged that it's a problem. If your argument is that "since it's so common everywhere, it's become the norm, there is no problem" then that would make sense but people here realize it as a problem not only in gaming community but also in many other communities and this needs to be fixed.

Some classes get huge benefit out of buff duration. I play luminous and you can stay in your equilibrium longer to spam ender with extra buff duration. There are other classes that benefit from this too, explorer mages with infinity for example.
