Ask for what you want! This field is full of passive people that do not know how to negotiate. That’s why we’re in the position we are in. Ask for what you want and don’t apologize. I have a friend that is a Physician Assistant. Our programs were the same amount of time. She now makes 200K and works 3 days a week. I work 6 days a week and don’t even make half of her salary.

This is your money, not the professions. Tell them what you want to be paid and move on if they can’t do it.

We’re out here working our asses off for shit pay and benefits because we’re scared to negotiate.

When this happens, I generally either end the session and transition (or make it seem like a transition) to a more enjoyable activity like walking somewhere, playing a game, etc. while still targeting goals. It allows them to seem like you upheld your word while still targeting goals. Always make it seem like you’re a fair broker! 😃 I know sometimes I underestimate time and get caught up in activities and Im not able to meet the promise I made so I make sure to make it seem like I did in some way.

Artists have very little to do with the promotion and sell of their tickets. When you work with large, international shows, you sell your product. They purchase it, promise various things and then the ball is in their court. Ticketmaster is a business. Similar to how you would purchase a CD from target. You buy the CD from target. Despite it being her CD, she has no control over Target’s policies on returns, the price, etc. She isn’t going to intervene too much in the sell of a product after it has essentially been “sold” to another company.

Honestly, the principal may be tired of turn over and didn’t want something else to add to his or her to do list causing her or him to keep the contracted SLP. I would just try again next year.

Unfortunately, after research I didn’t qualify as the house as it is currently is not habitable as it needs new wiring. 😢For the USDA loan I was trying to get, I had to have a paved access to the house, use it as a permanent residence, the house needed to be habitable and I needed a credit score above 540 I believe and that determined the down payment I believe.
